Yes sidesteps would be cool, less range between you and the enemy, slightly more dangerous because of this but on the flipside less stamina cost and you hav less range between you and the enemy and could hammer him more effectively because you have more stamina left. Mostly with such enemies I have the problem that if I roll out of the way backwards for example and then go back in theres only a little stamina left to attack sice I have to keep something to go out again. Of course I could also skll more points in stamina.

Ok i know i have some problems with remembering things. I totally forgot that i dropped sotfs playtrough and gone back to vanilla once i hit bastile (from no man's warf)

praetor i take it back you are right about pursuer.

sotfs early pursuers are exactly the same as later ones (those infused with dark). Difference only is that those early it takes a little time for them to infuse themselves which didn't happen in vanilla game.

There are sidesteps in Dark Souls 3, but they're locked with the Thief Dagger Art.

News to me. Trying to be in dark here. Hate to spoil my fun by reading and watching all DS3 previews.
Gonna play completely offline first time too.

Is there a point in the game when its logical to go into the dlc areas or ddo you just do it before finish the game itself? Or is it even possible afterwards (without ng+)

Yes.

The only reason to go before finishing the game is to get those 1 mil souls to be able to skip vanilla content (having 1 mil souls opens a certain gate). Otherwise, no reason.

You can do it after beating the game. You have to manually select an option from the majula bonfire to start NG+.

I think it's appropriate to go to the DLC stuff basically as soon as you find it. DS2's power curve is so flat after you get one +10 weapon and 20 in your attack and hp/endurance stats that there won't be much effect from putting them off.

If you've checked both the soul smith people (the bird woman and the guy in the bastille) and nothing they can do with the boss soul interests you, there's no reason not to pop them to get money. Don't pop items called specifically "Soul of a Giant" though - they're good for something else.

Does that count Soul of the last giant?

You can find five of those: four drop from what you'd expect them to drop and the fifth... well, the fifth is a bitch to obtain.

Since you mentioned it, about the lore, doesthe game explain things a bit more later (for exmple what the lost sinner did). I dont dare go to other sites much (thats why I ask so much here) Souls Comunity seems slighty retarded to me with their git gud shit or ending every covenant with ...bros.

I think the Cat tells you that the lost sinner tried to light the fire and then went crazy. It was just as vague as DS1 but at least it did not hide a bunch of lore in item descriptions.

DS1 had tracking. It also had homing arrows, lightning spears etc. It wasn't a problem because the animations are so fast.

Animations in DS2 are motion captured. This means they had to work with what they got during recording. For example the mace knights in HTOF were originally designed to be much faster, like the Drakekeepers. But mid production it was decided to calm them down. So what do you do? Record new animations or just slow down the ones they already have?

I am realy bad at fighting multiple strong opponents at once

Everyone is. Enjoy your well earned victory :)

Seems like I'm close to beating the game.

Have you fought Darklurker yet? It's a boss you have to fight by doing the Abyss covenant. Very easy to miss and one of the best bosses imo. Well worth doing if you haven't.
All arrows in DS1 were slow moving and they would not curve to the left or right if you moved left or right. none of the lightning spear miracles tracked.

trying to get through iron keep right now and I have to say, for me, its the worst area in the game. Who the fuck thought up these knights? They charge you halfway across the map, are really fast and come in packs. Right before the foggate you have one in the middle a captain with bow left one right and if you attack the right there are two more coing, how are people able to defend against this. Whatever I do I either get shot from right or left and cat do anything against it. I hate this area.

Heavy armor + Great/large club +10 + two handed = victory

If you know where the enemies are, then it should be easier. I would have gotten through on my first time with my second character, if I didn't fuck up a roll once they were all dead and I was trying to get treasure.

Just going to give advice on the central "chamber" as that seems to be where you're having the most problems:
  • The first archer can be taken out from range, or later in melee once you're done with the bum rush on the left side (where the fog door is in the upper right corner); just remember to be in a place where his arrows can't hit you, or at least remember when they're coming.
  • The ones on the left usually come one at a time, so it's crucial to make sure you kill one before the next one comes along. There's a bunch of things that can help: upgrading your main weapon, getting good at switching between melee and bow/crossbow, and throwing weapons.
  • If you've lowered the bridge completely, the middle guy should rush you, or you can bait him into fighting you alone on the bridge. If not, you can just shoot/throw things at him until he's no longer a problem.
  • At this stage, there should be four enemies left in the area that are on the route you're taking: the left and right archers, and the two guys that jump down to attack you from the right.
  • The thing I've done most recently with my dex character is just shoot the two guys and the L archer from the bridge. Doing this, you could rush to the fog door, or just take out the R archer, and you're good to go. Alternatively, you can go L, take out the lone archer in melee, possibly without aggroing the other archer; or bait the two guys to jump down and take care of them out of range of the R archer, and then take him out.

Keep moving so you don't get shot, just like back in Anor Londo.

So I have also started playing this, got through the FOTFG, killed the pursuer using the dirty parry/ballista trick and then got through HTOF and killed both bosses. Also bought a fragrant branch of yore and got started on the shaded woods.

I'm wondering about when to do the DLC. From what I know it's easy to access, but do I just do them as I come across them, or do I finish the vanilla game first?

Wierd. I thought the Iron Keep knights were the easiest enemies by far, I was even going to suggest that area to farm souls for that very reason.
Their attack pattern is plain retarded. They only ever attack ONE TIME, and if you block it they'll just stand around there doing nothing while you slap them around.

the knights themselves are easy, what annoyed me was the fact that you aggro them from half the map away (that doesnt happen after the smelter demon). For example, if you go to the outside area, you have on archer shooting at you, and there will be three more knights charging you, neither of which you see coming if you dont know they will because they are not nearly in the range you would expect. Having more than two of them coming at me was mostly deadly, since you alos have no large space to fight them.

So I did them as fast as I could, walked on the bridge with the archer, another knight charged me so I had to dispatch the two quickly, after the bridge before the demon you get two more (plus the one standing there which you can quickly kill with a falling attack if you only lowered one side of the bridge, and the two captains which shoot at you from two sides so you will get hit.), these come from the upper crner where the pharos face is. To add insult to injury their fucking running animation looks like they see you and start chanting the benny hill theme song while running through the whole keep to get to you.

Just use a bow to aggro them and let them come to you. I don't remember the Iron Keep being that annoying but it has been a while since I've played that part.
