Set your calendars for November 11, 2011.

Stop fucking up my national holidays, you bastards :x

Also, I have no doubts it will be better than Fallout 3 :M

Great news! If they got rid of (or severly toned down) the level scaling, this could be a fantastic game!

Can't wait for 11.11.11.

Dragons? Dammit. The game will be more generic banal shit and boring than i have thought.
"Have you seen a dragon? Middle-aged animal, lizard-like skin, ocassionaly spits fire and can fly."
All NPCs are gonna explain us what a fucking dragon is.

I actually liked the teaser. Stylish, no explosions, no frantically cut, gory fighting scenes, no gay alien lesbian pedo sodomy sex, no chosen one...well, I liked the first minute.

I predict there will be three skills in total:
Pwnage: Used for magic
Smackdown: All weapons, melee and ranged.
Heavy Armor: "Fantasy is about walking around in a suit of plate armor, killing things"

But there is one thing they fear: The Player Character!

Oh god.

Hopefully the player character won't be that novaqueen guy. That would be lame. Cooler than Ethan Hawke, but still lame.

Again with the story about fighting ancient evil and being "the chosen one". Why doesnt someone make a RPG about civil war of several noble houses and none of them are pure evil or struggle of few merchant houses for a wealthy city or island.

There is nothing wrong about fighting an ancient evil and being a chosen one in a TES game, as long as the ancient evil is not level-scaled and poses a challenge, and the chosen one can use polearms and throwing weapons, cast utility spells and fail at casting spells while wearing heavier armor.

That trailer looked painfully generic and impressively underwhelming.

But maybe it's a good thing and they are putting all of their efforts in to making it a very good RPG. (note i did not say game)

Yeah, I'd love a game based on SOIF too. :D

Ah... there was a time when I was into Bethesda stuff. Loved Morrowind, and the first shots of Oblivion got me all wet. Sometimes I miss that innocence. I'd love to go back to that excitement, but I just can't. Bethesda cannot into making compelling gameplay.

Actually there is a ASOIAF rpg in the making. The company making it is making a RTS first, then they will make an rpg.

When I was halfway through the trailer, I honestly expected 'FIGHT THE BLIGHT!1' slogan.
I wonder if PC would have to learn to master his taint in this game.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I like that trailer. The music is p. cool, and it's about Nords which I like, but it's still Bethesda doing it which means there'll be inevitable lore-rape and inanity. I do at least hope it'll be an improvement over FO3, like FO3 was an improvement over Oblivion.

What's the chance they'll ditch the old ES dialogue system for actual dialogue trees?

"We had the hardware for 20 years, so we could significally upgrade the engine" - right...
Also the game was probably like 3 years in development, so a lot of fail still got in before "bethesda learned from Obsidian/Fallout 3".

Fuck

And let's not forget that the Dragon is a symbol of Satan. There's an agenda in trying to desensitize our kids to Satan/Evil. This is a conspiracy agains't God. A charge of deceifulness again's God's chidren.

BTW, I hate snow levels. I just hope Skyrim is not only about snowy landscapes...

So Bethesda, not satisfied with the rape of Fallout, go on to rape and take a shit on world history. Good on Bethesda for capitalising on a worldwide day of morning. Great tribute the millions who died in the trenches.
:salute:

It's quite likely that the 11.11 will be remembered by consoletards worldwide as the date when TES5 was released.

Well at least it isn't humanly possible to make an UI worse than the one used in Fallout 3, right? Right?!
Well maybe this time Bethseda will hire some decent writers and animators and coders and have good quest design and... let's face it it's not going to happen.

Shit, and here I was hoping for a high elf setting or something.

The trailer itself may look okay, but...
If only they could make combat fun.
If only they could write, at all.
If only they could design decent dungeons with interesting puzzles and layout.
If only they could make exploration and loot actually worthwhile.
But it's Bethesda in its current form, so meh.

Very low since they are using the same engine, well modified old engine, but the game was in the making since release of F3 so they probably made modifications only on graphic side. Also their writers dont know how to write even if they life depended on it so the less they write the better, I would not be surprised if they copied DA2 and used emotes instead of dialog.
