but from what ive gathered here...snake people invading a winter wonderland???

It will be shit but, for all the talk, you know a good portion of the Codex is going to play it. Then bitch about the lore, since lore is pretty much the only thing that has been carrying the series since Morrowind. Afterward, we'll see if Obsidian is tasked with developing "Knights of Skyrim". Still, there needs to be a new game to unanimously hate around here, and I'm expecting tough competition from Dragon Age 2 in that respect, while Mass Effect 3 will be the dark horse in this race. 2011 is shaping up to be an interesting year.

I like that trailer. The music is p. cool, and it's about Nords which I like, but it's still Bethesda doing it which means there'll be inevitable lore-rape and inanity. I do at least hope it'll be an improvement over FO3, like FO3 was an improvement over Oblivion.

What's the chance they'll ditch the old ES dialogue system for actual dialogue trees?

I don't know why people don't pick on JarlFrank more for him being a long-haired fantasy-loving tard (not to mention a faggot). This was the worst post in the entire thread and you should feel ashamed. I remember using a Morrowind mod that he recommended and it was pure shit : I thought he was elite but he just has some sort of weird teenaged obsession with the beautiful plains of gemania or other inane shit (like I give a shit about your sensibilities). And yeah, it's the positive memories of Morrowind and Daggerfall that make me have hope against all odds. Morrowind is as special to me as Fallout for most people here and I just want to believe that TES series isn't completely lost to retardation.

Maybe they'll be smart enough to learn that gamers want complexity and less streamlining, in light of how much better New Vegas is over FO3. They're like retarded dogs, you have to keep hitting them until they get the point. The world isn't going to fucking end if you die in combat or you need to carry a fucking waterskin around for the sake of immersion.

Todd is marketing to people who think they want in on the RPG genre, but, really, they don't know what they don't know.
