Thanks for the suggestions. Fortunately I'm probably going to grab Deus Ex IW the next couple of days. Even if it doesn't go lower than 50% off. I'm also playing Avadon a bit, but I just can't really get into it. It's not bad, but it just doesn't really pull me in... I found the Gold Box games more appealing.

Apparently Indie Gala 3 is 'warming up' per their twitter. Although the 2nd only ended a few days ago it went on for like a month so maybe the launch of the 3rd isn't far off.

Well hot damn, all games I don't have. I don't think they're supposed to be GOOD games, but I've never let that stop me before.

They're all pretty shitty... and short. At least Trapped Dead and Greed. Maybe three or four hours long max.

And don't let those bros get you down on IW, there are far worse games. It could just be the haziness of my memories talking, but I'd say it's better than the Mass Effect games. Even with the popamole decline banalshitboring console shit the levels were more non-linear than a fair number of games, and I vaguely remember it having some good moments. It was pretty shit as a sequel to Deus Ex but on its own merits it's not entirely worthless. I do remember the AI being pretty fucking terrible, but eh. Well it's already pretty fail since there's no 16:10 resolution and I don't feel like using a hex editor to enable it.

According to http://widescreengamingforum.com/dr/deus-ex-invisible-war it looks like you only have to hex edit to change the FOV, which prooooooobably isn't mandatory. INI changing will give you the resolution at least.

Well, now I keep getting 'Failed to Find Steam' all of a sudden. Found a thread on that but it seems to apply to 64 bit OS only (and I'm ghetto 32) -- that plus the installation is still in the default Steam folder without any modifications.

I played Snuggle Truck for all of five minutes... definitely a pure iphone game. There are more involved free flash games.

Kinda doubt it will be. Says Windows, Mac, and Linux for that game. From what I can tell Frayed Knights is currently Windows only.

Edit: In fact, now that I think about it it may not be Defense Grid for the TD. Since they say Desura and DRM-free also, and I'm fairly sure Defense Grid is Steamworks and doesn't have a non-Steam version floating around.
