Towa also shows up in the attack on the conference. Though from the screenshots I saw she's oddly tall, or maybe it's that the clay figure sprites squished the taller characters closer to her size, and she's red haired for some reason. Not sure if the re-releases added any other cameos, since I didn't play them.

I'm close to the conference part of Azure, I'll post screens of Towa when i get to it. I did see a character that appeared to be her in a earlier scene when the Erebonian delegation got off the train and she didn't have red hair IIRC..

It's been quite a while since I played the games and saw the screenshots, but I seem to recall her hair being light brown in CS and much redder in the Azure. It's possible that I'm mistaken.

So i got to the trade conference section, and Towa's portrait has brown hair but the in-game "model" does have an odd tint to it.

That's not Towa, clearly she's Female Student. But yeah, I wonder why they can't decide on her hair color.
were these planned beforehand or added
Both come from later games, so they weren't planned. Towa's from the first CS game. She's also at least 18, so DS2 need not apply. Juna's from the third CS game, so there's a bigger time gap between the Crossbell games and her introducing there. I mean, unless there were plans for these characters all the way back then, but I haven't heard anything like that at least. They have very minor roles in these stories, anyway.

I finished Azure(good game), so now i'm fully up to speed on the franchise from FC all the way to Reverie. Speaking of which, i've gone back to Reverie to try to get the chievo for beating everyone in Pom Pom party and naturally i'm using the Sara avatar while doing it.

Edit: Forgot to add that I'll get Daybreak 1 when it goes on sale.

Sure enough Daybreak 1 went on sale and i ended up buying it. I won't begin until i finish my playthrough of Forgive Me Father 2 though.

I may or may not get Nayuta as well.

Have they said anything about the game being altered to suit modern sensibilities? In the later games they retconned one of the core conflicts of the setting, obviously because you can't portray refugees in any negative light. I suspect that they will censor that in the Sky games as well.

I wouldn't be surprised. I am also not sure about the quality in general. GungHo Online will publish this one.
