Pathfinder: Wrath
Beta applications are closed, thanks for the feedback, the game goes live in 8 hours!
Just want to say that I am enjoying the game. Dunno how far I am but the

Golem fight being a puzzle boss whose clue you get from books are nice

I enjoy also the artstyle.

For request maybe can you make skills and inventory sortable? We end up will have tons of them and them always in chronological order is kinda annoying

Oh the mirror reversing movement is little touch attention to detail I also like, Small thing but it matters

Really neat game, with the map and the skill checks it feels like one of those singleplayer rpg/adventure board games.

Only complaint so far, the difficulty feels kind of schizophrenic. Playing on the hardest difficulty, I'm in the underground area with the skeletons and marked ones. The regular enemies were easy to CC and take down, but the undead giant at the end just immediately one-shots my entire party with an AOE attack. He seems to resist most status effects and I don't have any defensive skills outside of shields, which don't help much. Anything I'm missing?

Well I bought this not really knowing what it's all about, but first impressions are nice. I was looking for a comfy JRPG like game and instead I died twice within the first minutes  . Guess I should have read what fatigue impacts before picking all those berries.

This is something that I somewhat likes, the world is dangerous and the "strong guys" will completely fuck you up as normal adventurers.

For this boss:

1. Craft some armour for the Elf as she is probably relatively new.
2. Always use Superior Intent so you can know who is being targetted.
3. Use your Fire Mage spells to inflict Burn. DoT is really strong in this game. The undead giant is immune to Bleed/Poison so only Burn works.
4. Always defend when targetted, unlike most JRPG it's important. If it is targetting your Rogue, you can probably buff her speed too to the point you can be relatively worry-free.

Yep, that did it. I was really underestimating Defend, that was enough to survive the AOE and then my tanky MC with Cover could soak up all the single-target hits. Burn also did way more damage than I was expecting.

I played a bit more and enjoying it mostly, but it does seem a bit save scum heavy at times. Optional harder encounters basically require you to win initiative and if you fail (because of that damn curse) you might as well reload. Really enjoying the leveling system so far though, bit more complex than your normal blobber style RPG's progression.

This along with Skald were my favorite bite-sized RPGs from last year. Definitely worth playing IMHO.
How long would you say you're longest run was?
I only did a single play-through, exploring thoroughly but also missing a couple things.
After finishing I looked up a guide (beware of spoilers) and unlocked two more endings as well as some achievements adding probably 2 or 3 more hours.
According to Steam I played 28.3 hours total.

Aye that seems about right, I did a single play trough as well, with some reloads to watch different scenarios and I clocked in at about 30 hours. Definite recommend from me as well even if some stuff is a bit jarring.
