And if they want to be really cooler, make the available store inventory dependant on the faction relations.
And have stores browsable from your PDA/Ship computer and have them delivered to you.

Borderlands writing was never meant to be taken seriously, it was lighthearted humor. The worst parts of BL2 writing was when it tried to be serious. Pre-sequel Jack is actually pretty well written though.

i did enjoy split screening BL 2 with my brother. it's pretty funny too, but i wouldn't consider slapstick humor and fart jokes "one of the best" writing in the industry.

and yeah, i did enjoy jack's story in pre sequel.

Grand theft auto and Call of Duty weren't meant for little kids either, but that is 99% of their audience pal... I mean, have you ever seen anyone above the age of 12 playing GTA Online?

As i said, i never met a kid who didn't play GTAV...

Also, i was playing Mortal Kombat when i was 10... If you think a little blood and gore is making kids avoid games, you are delusional.

The thing is, Borderlands gameplay, visual style + story/writting are extremely childish, and if they really didn't intend for the game to be played by kids then they suck as game designers.

By the way, most kids want to play "grown up stuff" so putting blood and gore makes the game more appealing to them. I couldn't get enough of Mortal Kombat fatalities as a 10 year old, but now i couldn't be bothered playing just one fight, who gives a fuck.

Underrail is a great example of a well done crafting system and considering Tim's interest in the game , something between Arcanum and Underrail would be great.

Actually, my beef with Borderlands is not with the childish writting. I could overlook it as i do with most childish written games that i like their gameplay, like for example the Inazuma Eleven games on the DS.

My real issue is that the gameplay in Borderlands is braindead retarded, aimed at 80 IQ 7 year olds. The shooting is retarded, the itemization is retarded, the whole gameplay loop is retarded, it is just braindead entertainment that i got bored out of in 30 minutes.

Borderlands 2 writing entertaining but it relies too much on memes and references that it became dated really fast. The story is actually really good for a "Diablo Shooter" with some cool moments and even one good story twist.
Honestly it was better then the story of some of "real" RPGs I have played.
