my opinion is that I'll play it but have no intention of buying it due to their vendor choiceso what is codex opinion this now?
is anyone actually gonna put money into this now based on game play video
Inspite all the implied reactivity, somewhat interesting setting, attempted humor and oooooovert use of messy weapon effects (that makes combat look like an uncomfortably moist clusterfuck seen through a oily prism) the game still manages to look empty and boring.
so what is codex opinion this now?
I'll take twe--so what is codex opinion this now?
Looks almost tailor-made for people who loved Fallout 4, but were disappointed by 76 (as can be seen from a large amount of YT comments) with a Borderlands visual style.
Everyone focusing on the ui and skills but forgetting about the utterly abysmal quest design they decided to showcase...
Couple of dialogues with only 3 choices and a single token skill check, combat encounter that didn't allow for any setup by the pc, and then it's done?
Fuck that, if that's the best obsidian can muster for the crowd.
They said the guys related to the quests were real actors and don't know you are not an actor, its kinda weird their weapons still hurt instead of it being fake weapons.
Btw. everything about this game screams its a Sawyer game, guess he is really the design director :D Its strange Tim & Leo copying NV this closely, guess we'll know fo'sho if its/feels any different when we play it.

Of course it's gonna look empty when you ignore everything, do one half of a quest with no voice acting and then start killing everybody
And as for the combat, like I said it wasn't even meant to be good. They showed off combat that had no chance of making a good impression.
Basically, forget Bugsidian, these days it's more like Gaffesidian.

But the quest wasn't done. They started it midway through (the player character had already been approached by the director before the gameplay began) and then aborted it by killing the director. We only saw a single stage of the quest (one that was meant to be played for laughs) so counting skill checks is kinda meaningless.

It was a freaking basic, early demo. They aren't going to show some insane quest and spoil the good stuff. They showed you something basic just to see the game in action a little. Reacting off an early demo is ridiculous.
Game is releasing in a few months, if they are not ready to show some of the good stuff, then believing in some imaginary and yet to be shown magic gameplay that will make everything better, is just delusional. It was a freaking basic, early demo.
