If you want something different and innovative, you go play indie games. Mainstream games, even just a AA one instead of AAA one is not and never will be the birth place of some mind blown never done before style ideas.

That's just the nature of the mindset of the investors that put the money to make these games nowdays.

True. I never expected TOW to be a greatly innovative game, it wouldn't make commercial sense. Still, even in such cases, one would expect to see small innovations here and there, results of past ideas of minds of this caliber. Small innovations that are not risky for the project, but still show the enthusiasm that the creators had.

It can be argued that the Flaws system is such a small innovation, it is just not a very exciting one (we are all used to the traits system already). Maybe I am being too harsh.

Are you a New Vegas fan? I can't think of any aspects of that game I could consider innovative. Or is it different for you because Tim and Leonard didn't work on that one?

Back then the genre was still young, New Vegas was part of the vanguard, one of the first of its kind. We were still hungry. Today, when post-apo RPGs are decidedly past their prime, there's a different hunger, hunger for something new.

Me, I'm about as excited about the game as I imagine I'd be about our regular Thursday sex with my 40 year old wife. I mean it's better than wanking, I guess...altho I'm not even sure about that anymore.
Imma wait for the Codex review is what I'm saying.

So for Europe, that means 13H00 i.e. 1 PM (i.e. just after lunch)...right?
I'm confused by 1:CEST (Munich)

Yes, I am a huge FONV fan. It is a game where almost all pieces fell into the right slot for me. Right, it wasn't innovative (although I don't remember if the VATS system featured innovations -I don't remember FO3 that well). It is just such an immersive world to be in. But man, Obsidian had like a few months to work on FONV, what innovations was I to expect there?! They delivered much more than I thought was possible in that timeframe.

Of course, I will be extremely happy if the The Outer Worlds are as immersive to be in -innovations be damned. Are they?

QuickLook is longer and the best presentation so far. They're also mostly doing other stuff there.

GiantBomb QuickLook

Infinitron I'm just very autistic peculiar about my time zones.

Leonard mentioned at 58:33 , that there's three to complete that side quest about the medicine and never mentioned how. I hope this more present on the rest of the game. NV still fresh time to time because how hidden stuff had.

Edit: What , there's actually 4 ways to complete the quest , what the fuck.

Edit2: Oh cool , there's some what of a reaction when your in marauder outfit.

So did market research show that the majority of their audience for this was in the states? They said in the past it usually ends up the opposite. Either that or a typical blunder.

I haven't been following this too closely but have just got more interested recently looking at some videos and will be able to demo it on my $1 XBOX Game Pass next week. I'm assuming it's going to be a non-linear game with various hub worlds?

The super meh Greedfall is behind me and hype for this is reaching dangerous levels. Have to remember it's Obsidian and it will be rough as fuck, especially on launch day. I'm getting that tickle in me balls, though.
