Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Gameplay is shit in both and KOTOR2 has a really shitty endgame and lacks polish in other ways too.
KotOR 2's gameplay is not bad at all. Does a far better job than most shit out there now and has some quality minigames.

It's a shame that the ending is incomplete even with the restoration patch. Had they been allowed to finish their work, it would've been so much better than the great game it already is.

Honestly, I don't know. How many times should we give Obsidian a pass? It's always something. Oh they didn't have time. They didn't have resources. They were going bankrupt etc. etc. I mean this company has put out about 15 products, and while a lot of them did have interesting ideas, they were always marred by serious issues. Will they ever manage to make that perfect RPG we all hoped they would one day make? Consider TOW. Yes, it is technically competent with how stable and bug-free it is, but it has come at the expense of the game being a soul-less, pandering husk - and this is WITH the involvement of two industry veterans known for some of the edgiest, most unsafe games on the market.

I don't agree that it's always been some outside element meddling with their vision. I firmly believe that Obsidian suffers from chronic, bad internal management (they admit as much in their PoE documentary), and i don't think the entire teams is as great. With their latest 3 products, it's obvious that they have very different goals in mind for how their games should be perceived as. Safe, inclusive and non-threatening. If i wanted that, i would go play something by Bethesda. They do a much better job at that kind of product.

I wouldn't give nuObsidian any pass since I believe that they no longer have the potential to make great games. That being said, there will always be what ifs when it comes to their classics, at least in my case.

Microsoft needs to step in and do something about the low-level staff undercutting the senior staff or they'll have wasted a good chunk of money buying Feargus a new boat.

So that’s your excuse now, a coup by Kate Dollarhyde that Tim and Leo could do nothing to resist while they had the clout to get Fearg to get Josh off their back, despite him being higher up. She’s just so CHARMING!

Make the Codex Great Again! Pathfinder: Wrath
Just finished the game. They made that homo I killed a folk hero also they didn't write an ending for Pvarti that they could use so they just said "She didn't survive the adventure" even though she was in my party and alive.

I will only playthrough the game one more time for a "perfect playthrough". I don't foresee any expansion for this game.

I think maxing science (tinker) is something I should go for first and then I don't know. Need to decide the stats too. With such a shallow system it should be easy to find the dump stats/optimal build.

I think TOW yet again confirms my theory that most of the classics were the sum of their parts rather than the direct impact of one or two team members.

Makes you wonder about the old writers/designers who didn't become e-celebs and the impacts they actually had on the games.

You can generalise it to cult personality bullshit in general. People who think this way are the same retards who unironically think that elon musk is literally iron man or that steve jobs wasn't a hippy retard taking advantage of his friend etc...

To an extent. Yet there still are creative people who undeniably do their own thing in a particular way. It’s a continuum, books are most obviously products of a single mind, larger productions less so. Saying that individual creativity doesn’t matter is as much a fallacy as its opposite.

No yea but projects of this nature involve fuck ton more creative work then a few people can do. Sometimes it comes down to not even the individual creative people but the sanity feedback provided by the team. E,g you present some mechanic to the team and if the team is good, they immediately tell you if you are full of shit or not. Even the people that have some good ideas have plenty of shitty once. Once they reach celebrity status, their bad ideas may actually start being implemented without pushback.

Except when a single amphetamine-enhanced man does it all on his own.

Looking at the list of banned words, 90% fall into the following categories:
1. Homophobic slurs
2. Anti Feminist
3. Slurs used to denote women

I mean, come on the agenda is very evident, and that does bother me. I'm not actually one of those "fuck feminists and strong women" people. I just don't like the holier-than-thou attitude.

Also fun fact, "Muslim" is a banned word, so I guess we could probably sue Obsidian on hate-speech grounds. This is the problem with virtue-signalers. They are always blind to their own prejudices.

"After 1971 he [Erdős] also took amphetamines, despite the concern of his friends, one of whom (Ron Graham) bet him $500 that he could not stop taking the drug for a month. Erdős won the bet, but complained that during his abstinence, mathematics had been set back by a month: "Before, when I looked at a piece of blank paper my mind was filled with ideas. Now all I see is a blank piece of paper." After he won the bet, he promptly resumed his amphetamine use."

Don’t overthink it, it’s obviously a canned list they pulled from somewhere. Some even exceed the 16-char limit they have for charname, Spaghettifresserin for example.

What agenda? Not wanting to get in trouble with media because some retard codexer decides to make a character named Hitler and proceed to kill all the short haired women and minorities during a stream? This forum is literally living proof that a company with any awareness about potential publicity consequences has to do this kind of shit. Maybe in a few decades when all the codex low class degens die out people would have no reason to do it but for now... Just read some of the autism here holy fuck. We live in an age when one retard can make a youtube video that would generate 1000x articles in fake outrage.

The most important ones were the ones who did their job as described as part of a team effort to reach a singular goal while having good leadership.
Somehow I don't think Boyarsky said this to the character artists: "Yeah, you know what? Those women? Make them all ugly. Like, tales from the crypt ugly. Yeah." But apparently he also never bothered to step in and correct them while they were doing it. It's amazing that this came from the same people that went through all the effort to create those talking heads in Fallout.
Leadership appears to be AWOL and the low-level staff is just doing whatever they want.

The issue is that if a company is willing to give in to media and public outcry over something as fucking random and inconsequential as this, imagine all the other shit that they'll secede because they have no backbone. Forget interesting storylines, nuanced characters that, god forbid, display traits that could be perceived as sexist, racist, homophobic, or do horrible things such as rape and pillage. We've already seen the decline effect RPGs, and this concession by the company is just another step towards complete and utter censorship. But you're such a fucking retarded shill that you can't see the writing before your very eyes.

Who the fuck even comes up with this shit? Next they're gonna outlaw slurs from reconstructed Proto-Indo-European.
