Imagine being offended by someone else's twitter you're more of a pussy than literal fags
What do you mean ? Codexers being whiney little bitches complaining about not being able to make characters with flowing long hair enhanced by nvidia hairwork , and offended by an evil womyn who wrote one non obstructive asexual lesbian romance in their shooter with stats ? Nonsense this is a place of critical thinking , a stronghold against decline.
Who was going to write the game if it wasn't some dyke, you fags haven't wrote shit since grade school and we've already discussed in other threads that you don't know that tactics and strategy mean the same thing in the dictionary

Also if you actually browse twitter you're a homosexual

Companions dying permanently on Supernova is dumb as hell, it is barely worth it to keep them with you in that case.
Why did you pick the hardest difficulty, if you couldn't handle it
It's not a question of handling it or not - the game is piss easy even on Supernova - but one of convenience. The companion AI is too dumb to stay alive much and gets downed constantly no matter what, which makes them unusable on Supernova.
Exactly, I generally top the scoreboards and am in the top 1 percent of every multiplayer game I play, but I play single player on normal so I don't have to put up with more stupid bullshit, it's an exercise in futility

I really enjoy the other features of the difficulty though.

Obsidian have had a trend of post-release fixing over the last few years that makes me hope they do the same here. Pillars 2 getting turn-based was impressive for a post-release extra.

The main problem is the writing. That ain't gonna be patched to be better. Balance patches and stuff could improve gameplay and systems but I doubt they'll fix the major issues with those either, notably the MMO-style stat bloat and levelled loot.

So these are the writing giants behind TOW and PoE? Suddenly it all makes sense.

idk why people praise level design, most of it is f4/skyrim with barred quick exits you open later, there are invisible walls which block you from jumping where you are not allowed to (infuriated me already in tutorial power plant which looks like you should be able to climb on roofs and shoot robots but you can't) and 100 hacking locks that you avoid by going 2 minutes around corridor with some mines to shoot + plot locked doors (hiding future companion quests, usually, and no you can't take plot item or meet plot npc before you get quest tickets)

the only dungeon where there is some non linearity which matters is Raptor dungeon if you want to peacefuly gas the raptors

and the endgame final rush dungeon is just incredibly banal. but then so is weird endgame plot piano with mario in another castle.
I think if you take half, or even quarter of any decent level from Deux Ex, TOW would still struggle to compare to it.

And for outer world of the game, honestly Elex beats it, and that game only had cigarettes and toilet paper for loot.

Can we call Obsidian's demise now and be done?
No ,game is fun . Ah wait , its not rpgwatch.. wait.

Obsidian is dead , dead! at this point i'd rather wait for dragon age 4 than next obsidian game, star stable and grooming teens is incline compare to obsidian shovelware now ! Not even worth the 1$ ! It's filled with sjw crap, , game was written by dykes, its so woke my eyes are bleeding ,so woke i am fainting aaah *sounds of broken monocle glass*. Those characters , those are lovecraftian abominations with no beautiful flowing long hair. It's oblivion all over again, oblivion with guns but uglier ! Playing this , is like carrying a cross for 40 hours whipped by roman soldiers , loathing every second of it, only intense unbearable suffering .

Imagine wanting to consume fan-fiction about Asexual Lesbian Romances and being lectured about pronouns by some Tumblrina in your Sci-Fi RPG about Spaceships and Corporations, and being so proud of it you question the "critical thinking" ability of the people who choose to abstain from it or not pay any money to "experience" that.

Then i'd be disappointed , its only like a few lines of text in the whole outer worlds, you can easily miss it, not enough even for one $ .

Best recent actiony-close-to-RPG I've played is RDR2 and this game looks nowhere near that level.

Eh what?
Ok not close for some RPG definitions (including mine for the overall game), but at times it felt more like one than many openworld action RPGs. Mostly due to world building and emergent or emergent-seeming gameplay. if it makes you more comfortable let's say best recent actiony-game-with-rpg-elements. What it seems to have over TOW is better writing and a far better realised world. It could have been truly great if R* had decided to advance their game design and also lean further into a more serious sim.

The only decisionmaking RDR2 has is absolute windowdressing. Missiondesign is so painfully linear that you literally fail the mission if you run 5 meters in the wrong direction. Yes it has some crafting and some barebone stats system, but so does every other AAA production nowadays.

You cant put that game on the same level as TOW in terms of roleplay mechanics. TOW may be a bit more surface level compared to classic rpgs, but there are almost always several ways to solve missions and the amount of C&C even in one quest surpasses that of the entirety of RDR2.

It has been said several times in this thread: If you want to criticize the game, do it properly. So far the Codex has been doing a very poor job at that imho.

It's because the exterior environments after the first planet are just monster fields slowing a-b. All the instanced areas are where the game has had no cut & paste and a lot of detail put in.

So these are the writing giants behind TOW and PoE? Suddenly it all makes sense.

POE1 was written by different people, it was a mess in a different way -too presumptuous. Remember how POE1 didn't have romances, that fact doesn't compute with these fanfiction-level gals.

I was kinda expecting Obsidian to deliver another mass-oriented, insipid game, what was the last game by them that didn't suck balls? And we can only expect worse from now on. Obsidian is the new poor man's Bethesda. Tremendous slam dunk, Feargus!

If nothing else, Tevinter is more of an interesting setting than Soy Worlds.

Tevinter will be an evil patriarchy with white men twisting their moustaches doing mwhahaha while the Resistance will be lead by women, all stunning, brave and lesbian.
So they are men too?
