never buy games if you're located in germany.
protip: befriend kwanzan codexer (who isn't a totally unstable wreck) with paypal, have him or her gift you row/na versions and get uncensored shit for less muniez.

I thought replacing with green blood is enough to bypass censorship laws in Germany.
german games censorship is completely arbitrary/inconsistent and depends on the mood of the usk more than on any law basis or anything that could be considered even remotely rational, for that matter.

Good quest design with solid writing, quest design and character abilities, and some of the best action-RPG combat I've ever played. It's so rare to see an action-RPG that really nails both the action and the RPG side, and doesn't resort to crap like HP bloat to make enemies challenging.

LOLWUT?

Except to the HP bloat (I don't remember whether it was there or not) I object to this fanboi attitude.

Risen has pathetic writing, poor quest design and nearly non-existant RPG element. It does not matter what abilities you take whatsoever. You can do everything, except the combos or tweaked attack speeds.

there is no such thing as "us account". store display is ip-based plus verification of location on payment methods like paypal.

Notable stuff today: Deus Ex for $25, King Arthur Collection $4, Derp Island $20, KOTOR $5 (not the cheapest it's been). It's a good price for Deus Ex but if they're willing to go that low this soon I can wait it out. Never mind they ninja changed the King Arthur price: it's $16 now, heh.

Dungeon Siege 3 is $15 at Amazon and is a Steamworks title. Not a bad price for that. Might hold out for a package with the expansion, though. Anyone know if the new game play mechanics introduced in the expansion impact the base game?

Patrician IV any good?

Maybe I'll hold out for Settlers 7 Gold going on sale. It's at 33% off right now so it's poised for a larger discount.

Hmm.

I like Patrician IV. It can get tedious after a bit but there is enough that you can automate so that you don't have to micromanage everything. As you go up in level they add just enough extra stuff for you to accomplish that it doesn't get TOO boring.

I would recommend it for the price today.

Fuck you Gabe. Fuck you Steam. And fuck you, Valve. I hate your $1=1€ policy and yet I buy Steam games on sales because they still are pretty cheap.

Am I a fucking hypocrite? :(

If you aren't content, you can explore other services. I don't like Steam much but I have no problems buying games on it for cheap. I can get better deals on some other services (especially the UK version of GG) and some of these also activate on Steam.

Passed on the last two days but eyeing a few non dailies for the end. I have to keep reminding myself this (apparently) isn't the major sale. Been playing Orcs Must Die and while it's not overly challenging or strategic it's still enjoyable. Sometimes I just want to play a casual tower defense game (a la Plants versus Zombies) that doesn't take thirty minutes of planning out maps/routes.

Got Orcs Must Die! too and I dig the douchebag attitude of the protagonist. I'm quite surprised by the level of polish it displays. Not the deepest game I played but the challenge level seems balanced so far.

Just got Serious Sam HD Gold for $3.99, that's SS1&2 Classic and SS1&2 HD. Now I get to see what everyone is talking about.

Edit: This better be awesome while drunk.

Double Edit: Jesus Christ, while installing it gives me a Windows Installer Error, and then a Runtime Error, and my drunk ass can't seem to search a way to resolve this problem while I am drunk. I might have to wait until I am hungover.

And now it's $10. They want to make it interesting, for sure.

Yes, you have to go to the causeway location for respecs but apart from that... I think sme of emwere added in the last patch rather than DLC like Enchanting.
