BRO, you'll love Binding of Isaac. One of the better games I've played this year.

And... nothing again for me today. Only 40% off Witcher 2 is disappointing considering Amazon was selling it for like 60% off. Rest is... nothing noteworthy. Although, if you've never played the first Witcher it's only $2.50 which is a crazy good price even though it isn't an amazing RPG. Hopefully tomorrow isn't a 'best of' day because there's pretty much nothing I passed on that I'd think twice about.

Bought Payday. Been waiting for it to go on sale.

I'm hoping the Gothic pack or Arma in the daily deals tomorrow.

Is Payday worth buying? I'm kinda dubious but heard some good things also. 6 heists sounds rather short.

Korea Civ5 DLC, Limbo, and Payday for me today methinks.

I've also heard good things about Payday, and I kinda like the idea.

Payday looks okay but I'm really not looking for a community dependent indie co-op game. Limbo just looks like another indie 2D puzzle/platformer. I'm sure it will be in a bundle eventually.

I vow to stop using Steam about a year ago

I make an exception and buy Saints Row 2 for €5

then I see Eschalon II at the same price, I also buy it

I decide on a new rule: only buy games on Steam when they're €5 or less

then I see King Arthur the Wargame at €8

T_T

I won't buy it

it stops now

:poop:

woe is me for having checked Steam when sales are ongoing

Yes, Payday is very fun. Just make sure you have a group of people to play with because most people will kick you if you are a low level. But since a lot of people are being introduced to the game you should be just fine.

Played a couple games of Payday online. Wow. This is pretty cool. Both games had roughly the same makeup of 3 newbies around level 5, and 1 guy around level 70-80. First World Bank was mostly a cakewalk, had someone get downed once or twice, but we were able to revive 'em easily. Second mission (Heat Street I believe) was a hell of a lot more intense. Has you running along an open street in a city for the majority of the mission, chasing down a guy who backstabbed you and then dragging him to a helicopter pickup. Had lots of people getting downed, and a few full deaths/hostage exchanges. Ammo was super sparse near the end and we barely managed to pull through by a whisker.

It's unfortunate that this probably will end up completely dead in 4-5 days (If judging by previous indie/semi-indie game experience) because it's pretty cool.

Payday is pretty awesome. Hopefully the community stays alive.

I'll be fairly pissed if tomorrow is an 'encore' day when there were only four prior days of daily deals.

Snatched it at the last minute.

Fun so far?

Sweet, I held off on grabbing Divinity 2: DKS just to see if it'd go even lower and there it is for $9.99US

Kind of a clunker final day for me. Now I gotta decide what if anything I wanna buy at the non-daily prices, or wait and hope they show up cheaper during the Christmas sale. Or if they end up mysteriously absent forever and ever (Like Risk Factions used to be and Bloodlines).

Games in my cart waiting for me to decide:
Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 new decks
The Haunted: Hells Reach
Arx Fatalis
Geneforge Saga
Serious Sam the Random Encounter
Beep
Bulletstorm
Kohan Warchest
Risk Factions

Decisions decisions. Only game that isn't 50% off or more is Kohan Warchest, but I've been kinda interested in those games forever and never bothered to pick 'em up. It's also the only thing over $10 in the list. Probably could do without Bulletstorm, but it probably would be alright for $10. Probably. Unless my memory is too hazy on it and is glossing over all the bad.

Arx is a must.
Bulletstorm is meh. A modern shooter trying to look like it's not a modern shooter. Some of the set pieces are good fun, but that's about it. The whole kill with skill thing just turns into a mechanical exercise, defying the whole purpose of its existence.
Kohan I never got into, but if you like that kind of strategy games you should get it.

I'm definitely getting Arx. Great game and I highly doubt you'll see it drop lower than $2.50 on Steam. Maybe you'd see it at $1.25ish down the line but... eh... Bulletstorm = shit. Maybe a six hour long campaign with terrible, tacked-on, and dead multiplayer. Wait for $5 if it all. SS: Random Encounter is buggy/sloppy. Wait for it to go cheaper.

I'm on the fence about the two EA published Deathspanks. In the past they've been pretty awful in terms of putting it on sale (I think it was either 33% off or not discounted at all during the summer or last big sale). Part of me just wants to wait it out until the Holiday sale and hope, at the least, the discount doesn't get any worse. EA seems to be warming up to Steam deals but you never know with them.

You now own The Haunted: Hells Reach, Hamilton's Great Adventure - Retro Fever DLC, Magicka: Gamer Bundle, Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalker 2012: Deck Pack 1, Geneforge 1, Geneforge 2, Geneforge 3, Geneforge 4, Geneforge 5, Serious Sam: The Random Encounter, Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalker 2012: Expansion, BEEP, Kohan: Immortal Sovereigns, Kohan: Ahriman's Gift, Kohan II: Kings of War, RISK Factions, Bulletstorm, Arx Fatalis.

Up to 748 games now. I MUST HOARD MY NUTS FOR THE SUMMER. ALTHOUGH OF COURSE NOW THEY'RE DOING SUMMER SALES TOO. FUCK.
On the bright side now there's not a whole hell of a lot I'm looking forward to in the Christmas sale. On the down side I always feel so dirty gorging myself on Steam games. Probably shouldn't since they're my one big indulgence and I basically only ever buy them on sales, but still. EVERY DAMN TIME.

You won't even play half of those before the Winter sale. Actually make that a fourth. GO PLAY GOTHIC 2!
