Only games I bought were Splinter Cell 1 and Chaos Theory. Was gonna pick up Rock of Ages and E.Y.E if they were daily deals, but that didn't happen, surprisingly.

Got KotOR (my CD version vanished years ago), Rainbox 6: Vegas & Vegas 2, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Magic: The Gathering Duels of Plainswalkers in this sale.

R6: Vegas is kinda tough on Realistic difficulty... :incline:

KotOR is a lot better then I remembered.

It is too hard to tell which Steam user is which codexer. I usually just end up sending a friend request to just about everyone in whatever group I join.

Oh well, it is interesting to see what people on the Codex are playing although it would be nice to know who is who.

I feel way behind MHC on the whole Steamwhore thing. I don't even have 100 steam titles yet. I will probably try to get a few things during the Christmas sale if they have some cheap stuff that looks interesting.

TRIPLE DIGITS HERE I COME!!!!

Steam is starting their 'Wishlist' promo today -- simply visit the page that's on a daily deal and you're entered to win the top 10 games on your wishlist. Today's deal is Terraria for $2.50. If you haven't gotten it yet, no better time like the present -- HUGE content and balance update.

The wishlist is useful to keep track of deals when the big sales happen.

As for Terraria, it seems like a poor man's Minecraft to me.

Terraria actually has progression, challenge and variety i.e. decent gameplay, unlike Minecraft. It's much more of an RPG-ish platformer than a sandbox building game.

I decided to buy Terraria anyway. I guess it's quite different from Minecraft. I'll be playing it tonight.

I never enter competitions because I assume I can't win, but I put some shit into my wishlist. It was actually very difficult to come up with 10 games. I added Bulletstorm, Anno 2070, Portal 2, Dungeon Defenders, L.A. Noire, MW 3, Serious Sam 3, Bastion, Human Revolution, and Saints Row 3.

Some of those games I would never pay money for.

Well, it's completely different. Minecraft is 3D lego.

Terraria is about crafting gear to defeat bosses and explore new areas so you can get more powerful materials to craft more powerful gear to defeat harder bosses and explore harder areas, and so on, and so on....

It's only fun with a bro.

That's like saying Metroid and Castlevania are only fun with multiplayer. So... I'd have to disagree. Anyways, Terraria daily deal is over and today's is Derpgeon Siege 3 at 60% off. I probably would have bitten at 75% but, right now, it would be $20 for the base game, $4 for the expansion. But if you're going to buy that you might as well buy the 'complete' pack that's the same price -- $24 -- but includes the base game, expansion and DS1 and DS2.

No, it's like saying the eternal cycle of digging and crafting items is only fun with somebody else to talk shit with while you haul all those ores back to your subterranean refuge.

Metroid and Castlevania have some great levels, while in Terraria it's just a bunch of rock standing in the way of your pick-o-copter.

It IS addicting as fuck, though. You go like "well, I'll just dig a bit more" and suddenly it's 5 in the morning.

I will admit it is a bit on the grindy side. If it had more bosses and more focused progression it would be closer to a traditional single player game. That said, I don't think the game loses any of it's solo value because it's more open world with its 'biomes' than predesigned levels. It could stand to be a bit more challenging but apparently that's what the 'hardmode' after you've beaten the new Wall of Flesh boss is for.

Nope. Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 aren't sold by themselves, so the price listed is for the Dungeon Siege complete pack which includes 1, 2, 3, and 3's DLC.
