Cthulhu saves the World? Now that sounds like another goddamn ironic, hipster indie game if I ever heard one.
It's surprisingly good. Yes, it's a hipster indie game (along with Breath of Death VII) but it's surprisingly well-designed for a JRPG knockoff. It has a fun combat system that doesn't get excessively grindy, and a good endurance mechanic that makes you manage your abilities much more than you would in other games. Both are definitely fun for the 5-10 hours they take to finish.

Today's deals are out: lol @ LA Noire being 50% off already. New Vegas drops to $5 for the base game and $2.50 per DLC. 66% off Two World stuff. That makes original Two Worlds around $6 and TW2 around $13. Might pick up one or both of those.

It's funny going through the sales saying 'oh, that's cheap.' and then going to the page and seeing I have it, and wondering when I bought it. I've really got to start playing through this shit.

Two Worlds II any good? I seem to remember it getting bad notes here from people who thought the first was p. good for what it was.

It's poop. They did away with most of the things that were good about the first one. I guess you could sort of argue that it's a better game, but it still sucks. Also, I played it on a console and the blur effect when you walk or turn the camera is fucking headache inducingly bad. You could remove it via console command, but you had to do it each time you booted the game. You could permanently edit it out on a PC.
I dunno. I got to the second island, the bamboo island, and then I quit. Just wasn't as interesting as the first one. I didn't give two shits about the story, and I still don't, which is about the only thing they "improved" with TW2 (i.e force down your throat). I just wanted to walk around and go "whoa, there's a huge desert here".

Does Abe's odysee/exodus, steam version work on Win7 32bit? Have any of you guys tried them?

IIRC I took a peek at one of 'em on Win7 64bit and it ran fine, so I would assume they'd work in 32 as well.

Thanks man. I bought it and it works fine. It supports gamepad as well.

Thanks for that info re: TW2. I was considering it but I'll probably wait until both it and the expansion can be had for less than $20 total. Would have bitten on TW1 for $5... call me cheap!

Bought New vegas and all DLCs. Also bought Zeno Clash. Seems to be ok combat wise from the description.

Then bought Total War Rome complete. FINALLY!!!

Also bought Medieval 2 Kingdoms expansion.

Any other suggestions?

EDIT : I have ALL the total war games. Except Shogun 1 and 2.

So, which of the spiderweb and/or basilisk games are worth picking up?

Will wait to see if any come on daily sale, but pretty cheap as is. All Geneforge 50% off, including the already discounted collection, 75% off both Eschalon, 50% off Avadon.

Any worth the time?

Since you enjoyed it once, it holds up fairly well if you do a different faction. Plus you can run through all the DLC. And the DLC is definitely worth the 75% off price assuming you liked FNV at all.

No, it turns out such gifts don't work with the English version of New Vegas I'm playing which has a different Steam app id from the Western version. (There is no other difference.) Cenega really fucked the Polish Fallout fans with this one.

Entire Two Worlds collection was up for about $20 at GamersGate a few months ago. Included both games and all expansions for both. I was most tempted to buy, spent an hour watching gameplay videos for both and turned away. Game is just shit.

Oh look, it's on offer again there, albeit for $40:

Anyway, get FNV+DLCs while you can. Whole thing costs $11.44.

That sounds fucked up indeed. How about someone buy the entire collection and gift it to you while it's so cheap? Surely you must have philanthropist friends :M

The publishers don't deserve the money in this case. And when I finally have time to play Lonesome Road, yeah, well, I want to be a legal customer, but the other option will be a lot easier.
