Trine 2 @ -75% after the user vote. Worth it? I got the first in an indie bundle and it was ok. But I lost interest around 75% through the game when most puzzles just devolved into "how do I spawn a mage thing in just the right pixel to bypass this?" Is #2 an improvement over #1 or just more of the same?

Also, can some BROs enlighten me as to all the SPESS MEHREEN DLC? Is it all just multiplayer skins and maps? If so, is multiplayer still alive and kicking enough to warrant getting it? Conversely, if I don't get it and try multiplayer, will I get completely curbstomped because there are broken stats on the gold bolter, power stord and whatnot? I'm severely tempted to just get the base game for the SP campaign if the bundle with DLC doesn't get a -75% deal.

I enjoyed Trine 1, have Trine 2 sitting on my HD for some time and just did the first 3-4 levels, and liked it. But I really didn't play it enough to pass judgement. The mechanics are the same, and the characters skill upgrades look just the same.

On the other hand, Grotesque Tactics 1+2 at 6.24 j€w euros, worth it? I really don't know what to think of this 2 games.

Space marine is alright, and the multiplayer was nice and active when I checked in the last time (one month ago). The map DLC might be needed to help you actually find a multiplayer match, but the weapons aren't; they're basically skins and nothing more.

It's got CoOp over the Netz now, so that's a definite plus, played it that way and it was great fun even though I never really managed to finish the first back in the day.

Sounds p. cool actually. Although no new skills is a bit of a bummer. I guess I'll wait and see if I can grab it for 1 jewgold in the next humble bundle and badger a pair of BROs into trying it co-op.

Check out Solar 2 rpgcodex, in this game you start out as a measly asteroid and end up devouring the entire universe (Big Crunch) if everything goes well. A relaxing universe sandbox game with great music, well worth the pathetic 2.24€ asking price.

Looks like it would be the same delusion as SPAZ, for me. Quickly read description and got it, it seemed really good on paper, and then I found myself in front of a stupid arcade game.

P.S. requiring prestigious codex input on Heroes of Annihilated Empires, I never heard of it before.
Edit: oh, nevermind, just saw it has a demo, will try it this evening.

I really enjoyed Space Marine's co-op portion where you fight waves of orks. Mindless fun.

Drakensang is intriguing but I know nothing about it.

New Vegas kicks ass so far. I did not like how the game just uploaded all the DLC instantly, though. My (very hard/hardcore) character started the game with all kinds of insane goodies. Naturally, I dumped all that shit on the floor and made my way into the wasteland like I was s'possed to.

Install Josh Sawyer's mod, I think it gets rid of those.

Yeah, that would be the "Courier's Stash" DLC which gives you all the preorder packs. At once. It's not really gamebreaking if you decide to take ONE of the packs (And hell, even all of them won't last you forever) but it's still pretty ridiculous.

The canteen is the worst of it all... Why make a hardcore mode and then provide an eternal supply of water that only has an effect in that mode?

Oh shit, that canteen is infinite? Goddammit. The main problem was I had all these items, and then the doctor gave me more and I lost track of which ones were which. I dropped damn near everything except a 9mm, some crap food, a vault uniform, and the canteen because I figured it was one of them. Thanks for the heads up. Also looking into Drakensang. I actually liked Dragon Age and it's hard to find games of that ilk these days, no matter how streamlined their gameplay has become.

The drinking requirement was more tedious than challenging. There was no shortage of purified water as the desert wasn't irradiated. That or the tons of that root beer lying around. Same with eating and sleep. Maybe Sawyer's mod does something to change that. Only good part of the base 'hardcore' mode was non-instant stim packs. I'd say the requirement of a doctor's bag to fix a crippled limb but there were a decent amount of those, too.

I loved (okay, maybe that's too strong, I didn't like the writing) Dragon Age, but I found both Drakensang games pretty bad except for the character system (which wins over DA in every category except active abilities). So I've finished neither of them. You might like them though, I suppose.

Have you tried the Game of Thrones RPG? It's surprisingly good.

Dragon Age with better character system, but worse gui, writing, setting, combat system, and so on. The first was is shit and the second one is meh.

I have to disagree with you here, it's really a different game in mood, style and scope.

About the only thing it has in common with DA is the RTwP combat and the (few in case of second one) places with trash mobs.

It is set in the Dark Eye PnP setting, so don't expect dark and gritty, plus it's not taking itself too seriously (but it's not lulzy or anything).
Drakensang 2, quite refreshingly, also does not have a "You are the chosen one!!1!1" story. The first part kinda has, though.

I'd consider the first one meh to good (65%) and the second one good (75%), but there might be some nostalgia to it - I played Dark Eye PnP for some time and like the setting.

Use the JSawyer mod, he puts all the DLC extras in remote corners of the wasteland and doesn't tell you where they are (unless you read the readme). He also increases the difficulty and fixes a few things, and seeing as he was the lead programmer I think he's pretty much justified in doing so.

What's worth getting out of the SW pack? I'm thinking all the Jedi Knight stuff (Jedi Academy is all I have played, and it was pretty fun) and maybe Republic Commando?

Jedi Academy, Republic commando, Possibly Kotor (YMMV). If you like Jedi academy, Jedi Outcast is more of the same with less lightsaber styles. Jedi Knight/Mysteries of the Sith were ok back in the day, but really haven't aged gracefully. Dark forces is a fairly interesting shooter.
Don't bother instaling the Farce Unleashed/Starfighter/Empire at war. Havn't tried battlefront.
The pack is missing the real star wars gems (Star Wars: Rebellion, TIE fighter, XWing: Alliance)

Meh, next two flash sales are HOARD (lol) and Super Street Fighter it's over 9000 4. The 'Vote' Deal is a crappy choice between RAGE (only 66% off...), Darkness 2 (flopped hard), and ASSCreed Revelations.
