Wow, people voted for GRAW 2, next candidates up aren't interesting either.

GRAW :|

I wanted stronghold. Oh well.
Anyone feel strongly about the next vote? I can toss another one in the pot for whatever. Neither Darkness, nor rage nor asscreed interest me.

SSFIVAE flash deal would be interesting if I didn't already own it for console. If you have an arcade stick for the pc and the slightest interest in beat 'em ups, I'd highly reccomend it.

Sword of the Stars 2 is only 40% off so far (Although it's a bit cheaper at Gamersgate). Have they finished it yet or is it still pretty much a beta version?

As a steam whore this sale is quite dull (I know it's only day 1). I'm mostly loading up my wishlist with crappy, cheap games to purchase on the last day. Maybe I can get to 800 with enough of these 2 freedom bucks games.

I'm pretty happy with THQ Pack purchase so far. SR3 is a blast to play, still downloading the rest in the pack. Will surely finish at least 3-4 games in there.
If I'm very inclined into Total War, I would've been all over SEGA's pack / TW: Samurai offering, but eh, I'm apathetic to RTS genre.
Have not given Warlock a spin just yet, but will probably do so tomorrow.

What's worth getting out of the SW pack? I'm thinking all the Jedi Knight stuff (Jedi Academy is all I have played, and it was pretty fun) and maybe Republic Commando?

Jedi Academy, Republic commando, Possibly Kotor (YMMV). If you like Jedi academy, Jedi Outcast is more of the same with less lightsaber styles. Jedi Knight/Mysteries of the Sith were ok back in the day, but really haven't aged gracefully. Dark forces is a fairly interesting shooter.
Don't bother instaling the Farce Unleashed/Starfighter/Empire at war. Havn't tried battlefront.
The pack is missing the real star wars gems (Star Wars: Rebellion, TIE fighter, XWing: Alliance)

I recommend people play the Jedi Knight series in order (JK, MotS, JK2: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy). JK and MotS are still excellent games, the FMV work alone is worth seeing, but the LS/DS paths are done well and the level design is fantastic. Unfortunately, the Steam version doesn't have music, though, so I recommend removing it from an inventory instead.

I bought the Star Wars pack when it was on sale a couple of years ago and played TFU and TFU2, I wish I hadn't. Watch the cutscenes on YouTube if you're into the story, but the story is such an abusive retcon and fanboyish nonsense, I wouldn't bother. The best parts of the EU are to be found elsewhere.

I haven't played Starfighter, Empire at War bored me. And yes, you're right, the best Star Wars games aren't to be found here. I absolutely loved TIE Fighter CD and XWA, hopefully Lucasarts will let GOG.com have them.

I dunno if you already decided, but I think Trine 2 is worth it for full price, so with the discount it's great. I thought Trine 1 was okay, a good idea with a lot of flaws, but Trine 2 impressed me. I love how an indie game can be more beautiful than AAA titles and also have fantastic gameplay. It's one of the few games recently that I don't regret buying.

I still have my X-Wing Alliance CDs, I wonder if they are scratched....then again I don't have a joystick and I don't think it would support a gamepad.

I have a question: I remember with Divine Divinity, either it or its sequel was really good and the other one was shit, according to something I read on the Codex a long time ago. Which was which?

edit- by the way, out of the new indie bundle oil rush and universe sandbox are turds, botanicula is good, haven't played the other two

Same. Pretty certain they aren't scratched, but I don't have a joystick that works anymore. I suppose the BRO thing for me to do would be ripping the CDs and uploading the ISOs somewhere. I don't think you can buy XWA anymore.

From dust is pretty mediocre. Looks pretty but it's a simplified version of populus 1.

Amazon ran the Plentiful Paradox Bundle deal (CK2, Victoria 2, Sword of the Stars Collection, Sword of the Stars 2: Heart of Winter, Magicka Collection, some Magicka DLC) already twice for $12.49 during the last few months (May and July). It will probably come up again.

I have to admit that this Steam sale is to hectic for me. I have no intention to check the sales several times a day. That's really pushing it a bit too far.

Thing is, I already have all of those except SotS 2. But yeah, damn Steam for these sales, I haven't even finished the stuff I bought at the last sale. Some of it I haven't even started in fact. And STO launched season 6 today as well. Too many gaemz!!!

Bought Shogun 2 pack, Thief 3, realMyst, and Jagged Alliance 2 Gold.

Might get Game of Thrones RPG and/or Skyrim if they drop enough. Saw Skyrim at 33% off. I guess Bethesda won't allow it to go any lower?

So far I got... the Back to the Future Pack and Dark Messiah of Might & Magic with lots of minor stuff piled up to get last day if they aren't further discounted.

Either I already got all the stuff I wanted or if I'm interested it ain't cheap enough to impulse buy it xD
Also it was probably a mistake to not have those Achievements and Game Rewards etc., lots of "meh... might be interesting" games people are gonna skip because of that.

I recommend Tribes: Ascend for people sick of console shooters btw., been playing that a lot lately :P

Anno 2070 for me. Not as cheap as I really wanted, but it's a damn sight cheaper than it was during that Ubisoft sale a few weeks ago including DLC. $25's cheap enough. Not sure if I wanna get Street Fighter or not. Thinking about it since I haven't played any of the new Street Fighter games, and haven't had a fighting game for my PC since probably One Must Fall. Haven't got an arcade stick though.

Reckon the isaac expansion will get cheaper? (its already cheap I know)
GOOD NEWS! Gaben has heard your prayers!

If you haven't got an arcade stick, I don't think street fighter's for you. Doing special moves on a keyboard is a one-way ticket to carpal tunnel.

Anyway, SPESS MEHREEN is clocking in at ~6hrs to download atm. Will be up for multiplayer later if steamBROs want to be/kill the EMPRAHs finest.

I still haven't played the fancy new horde mode in Space Marine. It is meant to be really good. I'm definitely up for some Codex play. My Steam name is matt7895.
