Yeah that really enlarges the game. Nice to be able to use the multi maps in the main campaign setting. Have only tried it with a pirated version of er..'Pirates' expansion and seemed to work fine. On top of all that it rebalances the whole thing, fixes the skill system etc. Don't play vanilla without it. Here's the proper thing if you decide to take the plunge and get the damn game. Really, it's nowhere near as crap as people say and personally I feel it's better than Codex GOTY Divinity 2 for the most part, even the combat is less crap.

Not to derail this shit Steam sale or anything but Gamestop has the entire King Arthur franchise(with DLC) for $12. Yeah you can't activate on Steam and have to have another turdy DRM app installed...but fuck it, it's there if you want it. I picked it up as a salve for Steam's general shittiness.

Eh, if it's about shittiness, Gamestop definitely takes the cake over Steam, this good sale price notwithstanding.

I'm sure Steam will have a daily on that -- they usually do.

They will have parts of it on sale I guess, but here in Europe even at 75% off the lot it would be quite a bit more. Even in the KWA it would cost extra. For me personally, the difference is between 45 lei that I paid and 68 lei if it was on Steam so that's quite a difference.

what is the konsensus on borderlands?

Fun to play with friends, 'okay' to play single player. I'd just pay $5 for the base game. While the Knoxx DLC raises the level cap and adds about five hours or so of content I really wouldn't bother with it at this stage of the game's life cycle. The other DLC are pretty crap. If you can get in on a four pack through CAG or someplace for $3.75, even better. Although they're all probably getting the GOTY edition. But, again, forget the DLC. Even at $2.50 it isn't worth it. You'll probably be sick of the game by the time you finish the base campaign. It's sufficiently long enough.

Note: I played mostly single player with a few hours of co-op. Single player isn't that bad but it basically just plays like a stagnant MMO without dungeons, without an interesting world, without a meaningful talent system, and without interesting loot/itemization.

Judging from the last page I'd say: solid enough with modding/tweaks.

Damn it Jack, you already asked our opinion in CDS on Borderlands and now you have to run off and ask the dex! Why are we not good enough for your guitar hero playing ass?

You lot have 4 hours left to buy Space Marine at -75%. It's £4.99 in the UK. The whole game is simply bro. Visceral, meaty, bloody melee combat, bolters that actually sound like bolters, your armour and movement actually feels heavy, the main character is voiced by Mark Strong and the storyline is all about heresy and corruption. It's the best 40k licensed game I've played, and I tried the really old strategy titles and the DoW series.

New flash is Civilization series. $25 gets you everything Civ 5 (maybe not the most recent expansion, too lazy to check -- in fact, I don't even know if it's been released) + Civ 4 + Civ 3. Anyway, Civ 3 for $1.24 is nice if you've never played the series.

Note that Amazon is selling Civ 5 GOTY + Civ 4 Complete + Stronghold collection for $20.
