It was indeed, quite shitty. But not only because of Steam, there weren't really that many decent games released recently. And this indie shit has got to go. Sure, I liked some Audiosurf and Braid back in the day, but 12 bundles is taking it way too far.

Still, I managed to pick up one or two things, better than none I suppose. Bloodlines is pretty entertaining so far.

Looks like it's probably more of a glitch so if people still want it, get in on it FAST. Pretty sure they were charging like $25 for that pack earlier.
FLASH SALE! FLASH SALE! MAKE UP YOUR MIND NOW! PRESSURE TO SPEND MONEY! AAAH! IMPULSE BUY! :P

I honestly liked it better when the events were "play the games you just bought->get achievements->unlock doodads" instead of retarded flash sales to pressure people into splurging more cash. Especially when the flash sales are just repeats of dailies, sometimes without the DLC the daily came with.

Nah... that's not what I'm saying. The price is a glitch, not part of the sale. IE, they could catch it and revert it back any minute now.
It's still at $13.29, btw.

This sale is officially the shittiest Steam sale to date.

Shitty discounted games selection with mostly consoletard and indie crap. Shitty prices. Same games being repeated 3-4 times, even daily sales were repeated 2 times.

Hey it wasn't all bad. You can't get enough of Borderlands and that ArmA killer, Dragon Rising....

Interesting pricing by GabeN again - over here in Europistan I get SR3 for 7,50 € but the complete package for 17,50 € (at -78% instead of -87%). :hmmm:

Also I'm very butthurt that Steam won't unlock that final badge for me, it's refusing to recognize that I joined the official group 3 days ago.

I bought maybe 2-3 games (Thief and Thief II, Two Worlds II). I would have got Saints Row 3 and Arkham City except the DLC convinced me to wait for GOTY versions. Crusader Kings looked good but I'm not going to spend $10 on a game I'll probably play for half an hour.

Really disappointed, not enough games were featured at all and the repeats were really stupid, I think some games were on sale like 7 or 8 times over the course of the week. Almost every day I just looked at the titles and shrugged, seeing the same old shit yet again.

a wild Jade Empire at 50% off appears

Yeah, funny thing... but it's worth buying?

No

Can anyone tell me if Sim City 4 is any good? Also Cities XL, how does that game work? Is it like a Sim City, or like a Tycoon game, or something else?

From what I've read, it's a worse Sim City in all aspects, grab Sim City 4 and enjoy it, it's sad that a better City Simulator hasn't appeared in all these years but oh, well, it has a nice modding community to make up for it.

Bought Jade Empire as a backup for my physical copy. The 50% was a bug, a holdover from the summer sale.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Complete Pack ~10€ (this was kinda in the preparation period for the sale)
Back to the Future: The Game ~6.25€
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic ~2.50€
Alan Wake Bundle ~9€
Bioshock + Bioshock 2 ~10€
Max Payne Bundle (1+2) + Borderlands GOTY + Dead Island ~20€
Tribes: Ascend Starter Pack ~Gift for 4.50€
Renegade Ops - Four Pack ~6.25€
Batman: AA/AC and Gotham City Impostors Bundle ~22.50€ - (I shouldn't have bought this, the DRM is effing horrible and I'm really regretting it now, it was in a moment of mental derangement :/)
Fallout New Vegas Ultimate ~10€
Darkness II ~9€
Whispered World + Robin Hood + PixelJunk Eden + Shoot Many Robots 4-Pack ~16.75€
Fable The Lost Chapters ~2.25€
Splinter Cell Conviction ~3.75€
Max Payne 3 ~20€ (so I can be a true gamer)
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet ~3.50€ + 1.80€
The Bard's Tale ~2.25€
Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines ~5€
Dead Island (Gift) ~9€
Torchlight II Pre-Order (Gifted)
Jade Empire ~3.75€
That's about 177€

I had already played a part of em like Dark Messiah, Bioshock 1+2, Batman: AA, The Bard's Tale, Jade Empire, Max Payne 2, Borderlands and Bloodlines but at some of those prices might as well pick up additional/legal copies for archiving.

Bioshock was good, liked it about as much as System Shock 2, especially the Level design.

Bard's Tale was slightly enjoyable if you shut down your brain because of the humour but I mainly got it cause of Wasteland 2 xD
As for some of the others, ya I know... but the prices, I've probably spent like 2€ on considerably worse.
