Well I bought SR3 for a friend and didn't see the DLC version was like a buck more until I read this thread. FFS.

I opened a support ticket; do you guys think Steam will help me out here? I'm guessing probably especially because it's a flash sale. God dammit.

I'm starting to realize that 75% off something I'll never play still isn't a good deal. I'm perusing my library right now and I don't even remember buying some of these games...

I reached the same conclusion a while ago, which is why I passed over stuff like SR3. Only things I bought were things I wanted to play immediately

I just got the Thief bundle, Divine Divinity, Civ 5 GOTY, and the final game in the Blackwell series. Grand total: 29 dollars.

As a word of warning Thief Gold was kind of a bitch to get running on my system. I finally got it working by telling my anti-virus to ignore my steam folder entirely (it was detecting it as a virus) and by installing some fan made patches to get the videos to run. I've heard people having fewer problems with the GOG version, though, so if you really want them maybe it's a better idea to get them from GOG.

Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Divinity: Original Sin 2
This is what I bought:

Dawn of War Platinum Edition
Dawn of War: Soulstorm (ROW)
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition
Beyond Good and Evil
The Bard's Tale
Grand Theft Auto Complete Pack
Napoleon: Total War - Imperial Eagle Pack...yeah cause I'm a completionist whore :)

This is what BROS gifted to me:salute: I will add names if they want, but let it be known they have my gratitude. :bro:

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Retribution
Galactic Civilizations II
Command and Conquer: Tiberium Wars
Command and Conquer: Kane's Wrath
E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy
Star Wars: KOTOR
EUIII Chronicles
Majesty 2 Collection Retail (ROW)
The Ship Skyway's joke but he DID gift proper things too...

i also got this for nothing by trading in those free games from Green Fag gaming for a steam key:

Lord of the Rings: War in the North Retail

Finally I also got some non Steam Deals: Gameturd otherwise known as fagstop had (and in the case of Ad&D still does) these deals I couldn't pass up:

King Arthur complete series collection

AD&D+NWN 1 and 2 collection bundle.

Pretty cool sale for me. Some really good stuff, other stuff to replace retail version I already have. Still others just to try cause it was free/cheap. 17 Euros and some change I spent on Steam. Another 30 dorras on Faggotsgate. Total of about 50 dollars or so for 30 odd games...could have been worse.

Man, I hate Inxile's Bard's Tale with a passion, why are you buying it anyway? There are plenty of humorous games around, why would you play this abomination (that I'd put on par with Brotherhood of steel gameplay wise) just because of the funny interaction with that narrator, go play some funny adventure or whatever. Better yet, go play BG&E that you now have, neat game with some fun stealth-lite segments AFAIR. I'd have bought it too but I'm completely broken now

Well I consider it an adventure itself. Combat is no worse than most games with an ARPG or H&S title these days anyway, so that point is moot. BG&E I already have from retail but it doesn't work properly on my computer anymore, so I got the Steam version which seems to work.

Hey, it's not over until the last flash sale. :smug:

Also, did you read this? http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2799277
Yeah, I'm really over. After last year sales (where I lost my Gaben virginity) I learned to basically make a wishlist before the sales and stick to it. I just got a couple of sub-2€ games because fuck it.

I just skipped the one I wanted the most, Games of Thrones, but I have enough to play for a while and will get it when it'll be 5€ or less, no hurry.

Let's see.

I bought:

Shogun 2 "Gold"
Thief 3 (a loss to GOG)
Jagged Alliance 2 Gold plus expansion
Game of Thrones RPG
Unreal Gold (another GOG loss)
Quantum Conundrum
realMyst (yet another GOG loss)
Longest Journey plus Dreamfall
Bastion
Lengend of Grimrock
STALKER: Call of Pripyat

And was gifted Trine 2 and EYE from a friend.

Spent about $100.

I should probably imply a rule not to buy anything else until I have played what I have. Or at least most of it.
You won't buy one single additional game for the rest of your life if you actually fulfill this, believe me. I've been toying around with this plan myself and it's utopia.
Yeah, that's why I added that half-assed "Or at least most of it" at the end. Which really translates to "a few". Then again, there's not much left I really want.

Hm, still contemplating Saints Row 3.
Might be fun for dicking around from time to time, but I'm not so sure if I'll play it much.

This sale is officially the shittiest Steam sale to date.

Shitty discounted games selection with mostly consoletard and indie crap. Shitty prices. Same games being repeated 3-4 times, even daily sales were repeated 2 times.

Victoria II

When was that on sale? :O

I got it in this pack a few weeks ago and gave away the steam key to a BRO 'cause I wasn't interested in VickyII. (Got it for CKII + Magicka DLC) -> http://www.amazon.com/Paradox-Interactive-41051dox-Package1-Plentiful/dp/B0085CD7BE

Most paradox digital distributions come with steam keys nowadays. Shop around for a better deal than what GabeN offers, then activate it on Steams for faster download speed.
