Game of Thrones RPG?

Did you like Dragon Age: Origins? If yes, then a resounding yes. It is Dragon Age with a much, much better story.

If you dislike Dragon Age and its mechanics, then your enjoyment of GoT:RPG depends entirely on how much of a storyfag you are.

The story is quite good. One the first times in many years I felt "immersed" (I just barfed a little), in the true sense of the word, in a video game's story for a long time.

How is European escalation?
Why are Sherlock games labeled RPGs? Do they have any RPG elements?

Sounds good enough to me, thanks.

In before Metro & Co. accusing me of having a secret affair with popamole.

Whoa, nice sale.

This is a wonderful RPG. Beat the wicked turnips with your Tractor of Lordly Might.

And I nearly forgot: You get a Lamborghini as preorder bonus:

Edit: Awww, it's gone. Was probably a glitch that this was included in the sale.

Sherlock Holmes Collection is an instabuy for me. I've played 2 demos and while they weren't brilliant, they didn't suck either and 6 even mildly entertaining detective games for under 9 Dorra is a good deal. Don't know why they're tagged as "RPG" though, they're straight up first-person point and click adventures.

Don't know about Blood Bowl, maybe I'm just not a True Gamer...

Hmm, also for sale is a Dracula adventure game by the developer of those Sherlock Holmes games. It's kind of hidden from the front page.

Yep, adds three teams. Nowhere near worth 30 euros, but for 10 (which it costs if you already own LE), it's k'.

Tempted to grab the Holmes games and debating Game of Thrones. I'd only want it for the RPG, and $18 kinda sounds like more than I'd wanna pay for it.

Edit: And about that new version of Blood Bowl, any word on if they improved the AI? Since it's Cyanide I'd guess not.

I sincerely doubt it. There is no reason to play that game single player. You should join the prestigious Codex tournament though :obviously:

I'm far too lazy and play games too erratically to join any tournament. I like playing it single player, I just wish it had better AI.

I bought one of the Holmes games. If you don't have them yet, like adventures and Sherlock Holmes in general, the pack for 9 bucks is probably a great price, although paying 7,50 for just Jack the Ripper, Arsene Lupin/Nemesis and Awakened might be enough allready.

The game of thrones rpg and the "genesis" strategy game probably suck, but both of them together in the bundle for $17.50 was too much to pass up. $90 of game for that price. If I didn't like the setting I never would have done it.

Anyone have anything good to say about these games to make me feel better about my purchase?

I see Confrontation is pretty cheap now. Didn't see or hear anything about it so I'm wondering if it's any good. Alternatively, how's Iron Brigade? Is it a decent-ish TD game?

Doesn't really strike me as much of a TD, moreso an action shooter. Also, it'll get cheaper next couple of months.

This is the third time I say this on three pages, man:

Game of Thrones RPG has a fantastic story, and if you can dig the Dragon Age gameplay, the gameplay is quite good. If you hate the DA gameplay, the story is till worth it, IMO.

I could dig DA:O gameplay if not for all the garbage enemies they insist on throwing at you. Is GoT better about that?
Not that I'm thinking about buying it. Spending $18 on it would be crazy. Crazy. Especially with all this Xcom all over me.

I think the rumors of trash mob are highly overstated. Firstly because you want to fight in an RPG, you want tons of combat. Second off, most of the encounters was actually pretty well thought out, and had special mobs. The reasons it didn't feel like that most of the time was that DA had the most unsatisfying loot drops in almost any RPG ever, so your hard-won fights yielded little. They were still fun as fuck, though. What I'm trying to say is that GoT let me down in this department; it doesn't have that much fighting.

So that should suit you, I guess :)

Thanks for the heads up. Kinda tempted to go for it since I've heard some good things, but I'm iffy at $18 (Basically just for this game, not sure I'd give a shit about the strategy game) and because it's Cyanide.

B..b..but you just bought both XCOM and Dishonored for much more and now you're a cheapskate over 18$?
