I'm also thinking about the Serious Sam 3 DLC that's out tomorrow, but I think $10 is asking for too much on that.

GOG can't release Worms Armageddon soon enough, it's the only game in the franchise needed. Get it when they release it and you can ignore all the rehashes and other games.

Xcom peak players 29,000, Dishonored peak players 12,000. More demand for turn based tactics than actiony Thief-likes I guess.

Just to continue this, but after it was released in foreign lands Xcom peaked 70,000 players today and Dishonored peaked 19,000. Which seems highly agreeable after what I've played of Dishonored. It's not really a bad game but I kinda feel like I overspent buying it for $45 and would've been more alright for $20. Still loving the shit out of Xcom though.

Don't. I got it at the last summer sale (I think), I spent the first 2 hours googling and tweaking to solve gamebreaking bugs and CTDs, and when I got it right I got bored before the end of the tutorial.

Updates come through, 500mb download, supposedly patches some resolutions for the game as well.

Looks like Bards Tale 1 seems to work, its sitting under some overlay though, supposedly has a link to the maps built in.

Thanks for that. I'll pass, for now. If the fancy strikes me again, it'll be on sale again soon enough.

I'm also gonna pass on the SSam 3 DLC, $10 is just too much. It'll come down in price for Xmas I bet, then I'll reconsider.

EDIT: As for The Bard's Tale, I bought it many years ago and was always gonna play it, but 3 tries later and I couldn't even finish the first village. It was just too dull, gameplay wise, but fine in just about every other aspect.

This summer, I found a LP of the game on YouTube (in 126 parts!) and watched the game instead. I don't regret it. The musical acts are awesome, Cary Elwes shines as The Bard, only surpassed by Tony Jay as the narrator. I always appreciate good humour in a game, and this one delivers right through to the end. Shame that about 90% of the game is padding via repetetive hack 'n' slash combat.

I had a hunch about Serious Sam being on some kind of offer because of the Jewel of the Nile DLC, and picked up the Legend of the Beast DLC for $1.24.

The new SSam 3 DLC is at a $1 dollar discount until Thursday for a total price of $8.99. Still too much for me.

(Just realized that this is the first DLC I ever buy. How the mighty have fallen blahblahblah...)

Funnily enough, about half an hour before the CK2 sale began, we were discussing CK2 in CDS chat, and I said that I'd pick Sword of Islam up when they next put it 75% off, which I predicted would be soon, since they're always putting CK2 shit on sale.
