Of that list I only know World of Goo and Bit.Trip Runner. Since you already know WoG, I can tell you that Bit.Trip Runner is fun but challenging. The levels actually aren't too hard and if your objective is to finish the game fast you'll need only a few hours, but the main challenge is to get a perfect on each level by collecting all the jewgold, and some of the levels can be really hard that way. And then the next objective is the get a perfect on the bonus stages unlocked by doing a perfect on the main level. If you like arcadish games with a good deal of difficulty, you'll like that one. It also has a beautiful retro-look.

Couple of indie packs for midweek madness -- $10 each. Tower defense: Defense Grid, Anomaly Warzone Earth, Sol Survivor, Revenge of the Titans, and Sanctum. Platform: Nightsky, Bit Trip Runner, World of Good, NyxQuest, and Swords and Soldiers. No individual discounts, though. Unfortunately most people, like me, probably own 75% of those.

Two Worlds 2 is also 50% off because it just got a $30 'DLC' released. :M

Just picked up the console version a week ago. The start of the game is so awful I almost returned it immediately. It picks up once you get into the Savannah, which is a grueling hour or two into the game. I'm sure many people still think it is terrible anyway but I'm having some fun with it. Lots of customization, monsters to fight, places to explore, etc. Voice acting is garbage, as are any of the cinematic cutscenes, and the character runs like he has shit running down his leg, but for $20 I think it is better than reviews let on.

I can comment on two more of the 2D pack games. Swords and Soldiers is a side scrolling RTS that is fairly simplistic but decent fun. I got about ten hours of play out of it -- the campaign isn't too long but there are some challenge modes. There's also multiplayer but I doubt many people play it. Nyx Quest is a physics based puzzle type of game although there is some combat. Nothing amazing. I had gotten it earlier for like $1 when someone bought a ten pack.

Friend of mine got the Bunch of Heroes 4 pack and gifted me one (which I sort of hate because I always feel obligated to eventually gift back something equivalent in price later on). Anyway, lots of issues they need to work out with multiplayer and maybe the UI but overall it's a fun game. Nothing amazing. I wouldn't recommend it at anything over $5.... only $2.50 if you aren't going to do multiplayer. Would be great gifting at a 50/75% off four pack.

Sega Weekend deals are going up. Alpha Brotocol for 2 bucks, hard to pass that up for that price.

Yeah, Brotocol's great for that price. I might snap up the Shogun 2 DLC while it's cheap since I ended up enjoying that more than I thought I would.

I recommend picking up the Entire Company of Heroes series for 5 euro

It still has a active multiplayer community and it is more or less the best Strategy game out there still.

I second this, although I do enjoy the Men of War series also.

Sega Sale on Steam... but more importantly a massive D&D sale on GoG.com.

The GOG sale is pretty shitty unless you buy four or more of the games.

Hoping Terraria goes on sale when the 1.1 patch is released. I didn't really know (or care) about the game back when it was on sale.
I like it a lot, and it's good to see an indie developer that actually updates their game like they said they would, but fuck this 1USD = 1Euro bullshit.

I resisted spending $7.50 on those Gensis games, which would have added 40 games to my Steam list. 40 games I probably would never play beyond launching, say, Golden Axe and going MAN I PLAYED A LOT OF GOLDEN AXE BACK IN THE DAY for 5 minutes and then never again. But none the less would have bumped my Steam game count almost to 700.

I feel like I've made important progress here bros. I'll have to celebrate by buying Binding of Isaac next week!

What kind of tard buys genesis games on steam?

probably some amount are people who think rom download sites are going to virus and rootkit their pcs even though they have norton antivirus 2012 installed

seriously though I think if they have shit like megaman or mario some people are going to buy that shit just to 'support' their favorite games

Just buy golden axe on its own for like 80c and then you can do that without 39 other games!

(though shinobi and alex kidd in enchanted castle could also be fun)

Pretty much this. If I'm only spending money on shit because I like it anyways, whats the difference between spending it on a new game or an old game? The fact that I've been able to get the old game for free.... for a longer period of time? I'd rather bump up the sales of dozens of old games than a single new game I don't even like.

That's true. One little Golden Axe won't kill me. It's so cheap, and I love kicking those midgets for magic, and and and- *MHC wakes up 15 hours later not wearing any pants, covered in vomit and with an aching ass*

Did a Renegade Ops 4 pack since it comes out to $7.50 a pop, seems acceptable. Hear the game is super short, but with 3 difficulties and score fuckery it might not matter much. Plus Gordon Freeman is a playable character so I can pretend it's episode 3.

Some Sanctum DLC released. Even though the game's kinda cool, not sure I wanna drop $7 on 2 maps and 3 weapons. Especially since there's Orcs Must Die and Dungeon Defenders coming up for similar style games.

Saw Rage preorder is $47 on G2play. Not sure if I wanna pick it up or not. Carmack's a bro, but is Rage a bro? After Doom 3, even though I liked it more than many people, I just dunno.

Sanctum DLC is a rip-off. Base game is $10, DLC is $7. It's on par with Horse Armor: $2 per map, $1 per tower and/or gun. I'll wait for a 75% off sale.

With his new Boss Zenimax/Bethesda that is all you need to know.

Bought some of the Genesis games anyway. I couldn't say no to the Golden Axes and Streets of Rages and Shining Forces and Gunstar Heroes and sorta Vectorman.

Also traded a couple TF2 keys for delicious FNV Gun Runners DLC. Gotta have my Mass Effect weapon DLC :bounce:
