Picked up binding of issac a couple days ago. Pretty cool. Actually got to the womb before I beat Mom the first time by using a shovel, but died pretty much instantly. Killed her once so far. Cain is overpowered. Also found something that isn't even in the wiki yet: A secret room you can get to with the teleport ability. Had a few items for sale, trap door to the next level, no doors and a guy with the title above him 'I am error'.

Game being in flash is retarded. Had my save data wiped once so far, possibly related to me having to force close the process because the fucking thing didn't create a window I could tab to when it opened, so when I tabbed out as it loaded I had no way to get back in.

I still can't play the piece of shit and the goddamn retard who made the game is sitting on twitter tweeting for questions to answer and put in a magazine and apparently hasn't read the game's forum and doesn't know about the save eating bug and I can't play the game because it eats my saves a good 70% of the time and JESUS FUCKING CHRIST SO ANGRY

Almost makes me wish I had a twitter account so I could yell at the idiot to go look at the forums so he could see shit's busted. Most common "Solution" I see people recommend for save game eating is what Gragt mentioned about something clearing Flash saves, which isn't the case. It's something to do with this goddamn game specifically.

Beat mom the second time now, unlocked Judas. Addendum about Cain earlier: he's REALLY freaking overpowered. By the time I got to the last 2 floors, I had:

Growth hormones (+damage)
Small rock (+ more damage... now capped)
Giant mushroom (+ 1 to all stats but firing speed, including hearts)
Hanger (+2 firing speed, from 2 to 4 now)
Sad onion (+2 more to firing speed, capping it, and additionally it outright doubles your firing rate besides, after your rate of fire is calculated)
3 meat cubes (a meat boy zombie follows you around and noms on enemies he gets near, following them till they die, even while you aren't attacking)
I could utterly annihilate anything that wasn't a proper floor boss in a couple seconds. Floor bosses took about 15, but only because I got little finicky ones that wouldn't stay still and eat my shots.

I had tons of other crap too, and gave up a book of shadows for a book of revelations after I got a battery because battery + rev book is supposed to be crazy good combo. It was pretty nice, but I think shadows would have been better, since I'd have been able to just ignore enemy shots and just concentrate on doing damage. Though having the pile of blue hearts saved up paid off when I got to a demon room and traded away all my hearts for a couple things I didn't need but wanted on my item list.

Fucketh me! Technology (you shoot lasers instead of tears) and Chocolate Milk (let's you charge shots) is an awesome combo!

Edit: just exterminated Mom with it in 15 seconds, with the help of the Devil card (increases damage while you stay in the room, same effect as the Book of Belial). Maybe I got a chance to beat the womb this time …

Edit: ah, goatfuck, I died at the heart. Didn't have full health when going there and one of the spawns fucked me good. Boss isn't too hard and was almost dead. Damnit, and I had such a good combo.

Pretty much any of the shot altering things combined together get pretty crazy. I had a magician card (homing shots) used during a fight with mom while I had the Loki upgrade (you occasionally shoot 4 extra shots out in a cross). Was a rape festival. Shit getting mowed down on all sides, and when all the minions were dead, bullets would hover around where the foot had been last, waiting for another enemy to show up.

Only real exception I think is the pee upgrade gimps your range, while not adding anything but speed. So if you don't need the speed upgrade, gimping your range that much is pretty awful.

Midweek deal is Portal 2 50% off - going to hold out for 75% which I'm sure is just around the corner.

Thanks much bro. :bro:
Hopefully when he says he fixes it he'll actually fix it this time.

And Portal 2's certainly worth $15, but yeah, it'll probably get cheaper this year. It's also maybe 10-15 hours long if you include the co-op campaign.

Got Portal 2, I am weak, but I figure $15 is fine considering how recent it is. I need something that's not an RPG, adventure game or military shooter to play right now.

I got it for 6 dollars the day it came out by buying it for ps3 and then trading it in after activating the pc copy :smug:

I got it for negative 10 dollars the day it came out by preordering it, buying the few missing games in the potato pack, selling the TF2 items I got, and selling the extra copy of the game I got by getting a golden potato. :smug:

so lonely

Doubt I can find anyone to do co-op with me and I just know it'll be sub $10 in a month. Not dying to play it.

New update for The Binding of Isaac, supposedly fixing all save issues.

We kinda need a dedicated thread for this game …

Portal 2 is Portal, but more.

I don't really have anything else to say about it.

New patch did not in fact fix my save games. Wish Steam did refunds because this is REALLY GODDAMN TERRIBLE.

I am, and sorry to hear of your problem MHC. This is really getting ridiculous.

Edit: beaten mom's heart at last! and with magdalene too! double unlock! also found the bible in store to instantly kill mom with it, which helped. I didn't even fully explore womb 2 because i would have likely died (even though I found a 1up earlier). Faced the heart with only 1 heart and a half left, thinking i'd die and come back after consumming the 1up, but i didn't even die this time. I got the fully upgrade meat boy who helped to take care of the spawns and the charm of the vampire slowly refilled my hearts from all the kills. Pretty good run this one.

But I don't think I'm ever touching Magdalene again since she's slower and does less damage than Isaac and starting with one more heart doesn't really make up for it if you're more likely to be hit. Her Yum Heart is barely decent, and I take the Book of Revelations over it if I find it.
