Glad to see Double Console Fine corrected that oversight. I'll probably but it now. Sucks for the people that got screwed.

I got myself Borderland. Not sure if this is a good game, but 7.50 seems like a steal for GOTY Ed. Thinking of snagging Overlord pack..but has the game improved on the boring first?

Eh, Overlord is what it is. I played the first one, was decent fun. Got about a third way through the second, got bored. Uinstalled. Reinstalled a year later, got another third of the way through, got bored, uninstalled. If you've already played the first don't bother with the rest.

I decided to finally play the Bethesda Cthulhu game since it was Halloween and I wanted another game like Scratches. Bad idea.

This game is horribly dull. Not scary at all, extremely linear, not engaging, bad gameplay... and most of all, the horribly wooden voice acting of the main character that ruins every single scene.

Avoid.

Costume Quest is a fun casual game, with some nice writing and attention to detail. Nothing too special, just a lovely little time-waster with very basic JRPG-ish combat. I didn't at all regret paying the full price for it, so it's a no-brainer now that it is on sale imho.

Well, fine, I like some little games like that. I recently played Barkley: Shut Up and Jam - Gaiden for the first time and loved it. If it's anything similar, I'm interested. Oh, and I still have Cthulhu Saves the World to play.

Edit: The Binding of Isaac received the huge Halloween update (with no actual lame halloween themes)™. A new chapter, new monsters, new bosses, new items. Now if they could remake the game so it doesn't use Flash anymore …

The Halloween content is mostly buggy, got to the new boss and sound goes crazy and game speed drops to a crawl.

But it does load faster now

Speaking of Isaac, I think he finally fixed the Firefox save issue in the last patch. I've tried it with the browser running a couple times and it saved my progress, so the game's pretty much in working condition now.

Performance is still not as good as it really should be considering what's going on, but that's not too big of an issue 90% of the time. Probably worth the $5.

Too bad he never fixed the achievements not unlocking issue. Had to use steam achievement manager (or something) to get them working. Unlocked one manually, and suddenly it started working for the rest.

Crappy to have flash games in Steam, but game is great fun if you're into robotron style.

Aaargh. Midweek deal, Bastion $7.50. Another game at another price I want to pay. But it's indie and will surely be a dollar if I waited. BUT DAMN IT $7.50 SOUNDS REASONABLE.

Just bought Bastion because it was on sale. Apparently the story and the soundtrack are great, and those two things are usually what I look for in games, so I thought I'd risk it and buy it.

Christmas sales aren't that far off.

This. It's also the reason I ultimately skipped on Costume Quest and... funny enough... right after the sale ended on that they lowered the list price from $15 to $10 so if I want it at $5 again it only has to be a 50% discount. Tricky tricky Double Fine. As far as Bastion goes, nice game, I'll buy it eventually but not at $7.50. No reason to as I'm still playing Dungeon Defenders and just got Isaac and Blocks that Matter via the bundle. There's also another indie royale bundle coming up in a week. Hell, Bastion will probably be in one of the bundles sometime down the road.

Also, there's a demo of Bastion on Steam. It's pretty much the game in a nutshell. If you don't like the demo you probably won't like the rest of it.

Bought the game. NOW IT WILL BE IN AN INDIE BUNDLE OR STEAM BUNDLE FOR A DOLLAR WHAT HAVE I DOOOOOOOOOOONE WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHY

On the bright side I've been looking forward to it going on sale. $7.50 sounds alright for a 10 hour pretty monster smacker. Not great, but alright. And I've got a weakness when it comes to buying indie games. Though to be honest it's a weakness with buying ALL games, but indies in particular.

Moral of the story is don't end up like me bros. Sucking multiheaded dicks in rest stop bathrooms for enough cash to get my next hit.

Bought Costume Quest. Seems cool, and it's close enough to Halloween that it gets real-life atmosphere points.

I'm tempted to buy Bastion, but I think I'm going to wait for a Black Friday/Christmas sale.

Just bought the pack, even though I already owned 3 of the Geneforge games. I know Vogel is full of derp, but the series really is great.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattt??? All of Geneforge on Steam for like a fifth of what I paid for? And he does that just after his October sale ends? I can't believe it, I thought at first I was in a dream.

Why did he go out of his way to say that games should keep their value then? I don't think I've ever seen a developer do such a huge 180. This is less than what a single Geneforge game cost a few weeks ago.

At 16$ this is really a steal.

Oh well, I hope the Avernun pack comes soon enough.

I was thinking of picking up some Geneforge games during the sale, thank god i didn't.I guess threre are a lot of pissed off people right now who just found out they could get them 80% cheaper if they waited a few days.
Just bought the whole bundle along with Bastion

I'll definitely get Geneforge, although I'm gonna hold out until the christmas sales. It's a good deal, but I'm not hurting for games at the moment. Geneforge should be a good way to spend time on christmas when I have less games to play.
