Killing Floor is also doing a limited time Halloween event until Thursday. Still need to beat Bedlam on hard.

Yeah I usually do those things to unlock the skin but a game on hard is probably a bit more than I want to attempt. Funny thing is I rarely play KF outside of the events to unlock skins so it isn't as if I ever make use out of them. Anyway, Dungeon Defender's SPOOKTACULAR starts today!

I noticed that Limbo is also on sale(25% off) although I don't know why it's not on the main steam sale page.

I got Scratches (hope it runs on Windows 7, the CD version didn't), the Fear Collection, and Burn Zombie Burn!

I really recommend Burn Zombie Burn, the PSN version was TONS of fun. It's best played in co-op.
Did you get Scratches to work? I also have the CD version and was thinking of picking it up on GOG for 5 bucks. If it's working on steam, I'll get it there since it's cheaper.

Actually managed it this morning. Found a good group and while Patty was iffy, he died in the end. Good thing you do not need to be alive to get it. I actually love playing KF but then I usualy go on a leveling spree and leveling commando up is such a pain that I end up burning out.

I can't comment on Scratches, but you should probably check the forum and see. That said, Valve really do not give a shit about compatibility and leave such petty concerns as "does the game work?" to the publisher, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

There was supposed to be some Halloween content so, yeah, I expected that along with a sale. Maybe it won't happen until the 31st?

Speaking of Isaac, I think he finally fixed the Firefox save issue in the last patch. I've tried it with the browser running a couple times and it saved my progress, so the game's pretty much in working condition now.

Performance is still not as good as it really should be considering what's going on, but that's not too big of an issue 90% of the time. Probably worth the $5.

Yes it works well. I'm close to the end now.

On occasion it will take inordinate amounts of time to go into a new room, but nothing that sours the experience.

/e: If someone is still unsure whether they want to purchase Payday: The Heist or not, here's a vid with some gameplay.
You might have to skip a bit through the video since I tested different streaming settings in between games (for Codex Movie Night I).

I bought Borderlands because I'm going to play it coop with some friends. I expect utter shit, but everything can be fun in coop and this is the best I'll get since no one wants to play IWD(2) with me and while I wait for the new Magicka DLC. ;_;

We had a fun Codex group going for Borderlands at some point. Game has potential but is flawed. Some opportunities for hardcore gameplay but the other pussied out and I had to do it myself. :rpgcodex:

Completed Scratches. Very good game. Some puzzles had me guessing for a while though.

Still, it had some questionable puzzles, a bit too many phone conversations, and it was a big too uneventful. However the design was very clever, the atmosphere superb, and it showed that you don't even have to show horrific things to create an atmosphere of terror... the mind's eye does a much better job than visuals ever could. I loved how the pacing went, and things got gradually scarier.

I saw the GameSpot review at 3.9 and laughed.

I also saw that the designer is coming up with a new adventure game within a few months, set inside an asylum. It looks fantastic. I might even feel compelled to make an LP out of it.

Picked up Depths of Peril since I'm a sucker, and also picked up Rock of Ages because I am a GOD DAMN IDIOT AND I JUST KNOW IT'LL BE IN A 5 GAMES FOR $5 BUNDLE IN A MONTH OR TWO BUT DAMN IT IT'S A GAME I'M INTERESTED IN AND IT WAS $7.50

Edit: And most honorable and glorious Russian key sellers dropped the price on Rage even more so I picked up a copy. Once that's added it should put my Steam account at 700 games. WILL I FINALLY KNOW PEACE?

Edit 2: Wow, took them scant minutes after I ordered to activate it on my account. Nice. It'll take me ages to download all 20 bloated gigs of game though.

Thinking about Depths of Peril. Dunno if I want another ARPG right now, though.

It's quite a clunky feeling ARPG, too. Not near as smooth monster clicking simulators as Torchlight or Diablo. That said, the other factions trying to do quests and the monsters leveling up and advancing on their own is sorta neat.

If you're in the mood for such a thing it's probably worth $4. Especially since god knows when Torchlight 2 is going to be released. Last I heard was 2011, but it's almost November and they haven't said a solid date yet.

A lot of Runic developers keep saying by the end of the year so you'd hope that means December at the latest.
