If you have gmg account already then price in vip sections should be same as it was after using that voucher. Looks like game can be preloaded, too bad its over 15 gb. That will take some time on my shitty radio connection.

"It's got a decent story and shockingly gets the closest video games have come to actually talking about concentration camps."

Someone obviously did not play I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream—granted, it was more ridiculous and campy than thought-provoking, but one part did take place in a concentration camp. I guess it's great how Steam allows everyone to share their uneducated opinion so easily, but I still don't see why it is a good thing.

Great game. It's not your usual weeboo shit. Writing simply is great.
Also games "support" ironman and wants you to play it like that (as characters can die permanently).

I think i will go for Ironman on HARD. Tank mission and selveria will be probably nerve wrecking as well ass that one catch car mission. Maybe it is not such a good idea....

I don't see why games "should" do anything. They should talk about stuff like that if it makes sense in game context. In VC it is more like working camp though than conc.

I'm only up to chapter 7 in the ps3 version, but I'm pretty sure I have to say the writing is decidedly "not great".

Tuluse quit playing blackguards because of the writing, which quite frankly, shocks me, a major storyfag.

Did you ever get to the Arena fights? (second chapter?) - the first chapter is not overly representative of the difficulty (except defending the city at the end of it, that is pretty good).

That is art style.

weeboo shit usually means a lot more than just artstyle. If we talk about actually artstyle most of squad 7 soldiers are teens or 20+ sometimes 30+. Not really unusual for war

There is plenty of weeboo-ism in VC even only on the characterization. Don't butthurt. Just because they don't moe and tsundere obviously doesn't mean it's not there (not to mention the terrible PG-13 triangles and sailor moon race). VC 3 is especially obvious about this with the ... colorful... backgrounds they felt like they could indulge in because it's a 'penal squadron'.

It's a good game system, you don't need to hail it as sublimely tasteful at everything, this is not a inquisition.

The problem isn't so much the age of the protagonists (in historical contexts teenage 'protagonists' are pretty common), as it is the jRPG treatment of it.

There is literally a goddamn beach filler episode in the game. That's pretty weeaboo, all things considered.

I mean, I liked the game (despite it's rather bizarre and often contradictory morals), but the game did indulge itself plenty in weeaboo cliches and stereotypes.

You are assuming i say that game doesn't have any weeboo stuff.
I simply say game isn't typical weeboo which is true.

Sure there are some tropes but they are very minor to the whole game.

Now take VC2 and try to compare it to VC1 and you see what i mean. VC2 is filled with weeboo clishes like almost any other weeboo game.

So how the anime representative of this? I tried to watch it, but it was too mediocre to capture an attention for more than a few episodes.

So I made a wise decision to not bothering with it and I could look forward to play this game without any prejudgements based on it's adapation?
