I missed the whole video; was there anything on if they're going to redo the character creation and barter screens that still look and feel like shit, or what happened to Synth Tech and if the merged/cut skills will see possible replacements to cover the loss?

Codex USB, 2014
I just watched the last bit of the stream (thx infinitron for notifying me :)). Combat looks like it's fun.
The only complaint I have from watching the stream is that the UI has some completely unnecessary and even distracting animated stuff, namely the flickering AP counter and the flimmer in the HP bar when it's full. I don't think I'll ever be fully satisfied with the UI tho. ;)

I'll play this myself once I'm done marathoning season 1 of House of Cards.

They said that the barter window will be redone in the next update which is 2,3 week from now.

I think not. They said they changed medic skills.
Actually an AI looks good. It really uses special skills, destroys cover, search for a right spot to put a sniper on. Also they said they want different kinds of enemy to behave differently in order to give them personality. UI was improved pretty much, looting window is useful, by looting 1 corpse, it automatically loads others close to it corpses into different tabs.

They merged some skills?

Field stripping seems to be merged with the other skill that let you mod/repair the weapons. Evade is gone, synth tech is gone (dunno if those are merged with something else).

So, when are you gonna stop being cute and lower the price of the game to something less insulting?

Looking on patch notes, it looks that not much reactivity has been added :(........... just a constant stream of fixing typos or bugs...... and like 1 new quest....... some additional barks..... some rebalancing..... it looks really, really disappointing.....

You might want to read them again, there's been an update.

Check here. I think you're looking at the wrong patch notes.

That list is a partial list. There's over 2,000 changes at this point since the previous update.

Synth tech has been merged into computer tech, yes.

Good, good. Send my regards to screaming extremely emotionally engaged imbeciles on your forums BN, especially to your "moderators".

You have been blocked from using Twitch.
wtf?

Try disabling your VPN or any plugin you might use to hide your dns
nah, thanx anyway.

Is that all of the great improvements to these skills?

The Mac version is up now, too? Could be time for a second playthrough…

Surgeon now takes a full combat turn to apply
Wasnt one of the biggest and most touted counter arguments to mine and others critique of medic/surgeon skills that surgeons are not able to use their skills in combat?

just wandering...

Surgery now requires an item to rez someone
okaaay.

Mechanic skill
- good. I can finally roleplay myself.

Removed Salvaging & Synth Tech skills & skill objects
Does this mean salvaging is also gone? If yes - good.

Guess it went under new Mechanic skill? - if yes - good.

Added Heavy Machine Gun cone special attack
good.

Added reactivity state where both Highpool and Ag Center can fall.
amazing.

Missed shots can now hit and damage targetable object
nice.

Made the grenade the primary weapon for grenadier
smart.

Weapons now disappear until a skill is used
wut?

Fixed bug where using a multi-turn item would remove the AP at the start of the next turn
It would be good to use this to create multiturn surgeon requirements - if they are not in already.

Can no longer loot dead sythns without the synth tech skill
err... (computer science you mean, i gather?)

CNPCs can’t friendly fire PCs
bullshitz.

Increased random encounter from 4 to 14%
more grinding.

Ag Center: Now possible to save guys stuck in vines and they climb out
fine.

World Map: Created new encounter set for infected, increase encounter rate when agCenter is not saved and decreased the encounter when it is saved.

World Map: Created new encounter set for wrecking crew, increase encounter rate when highpool is not saved and decreased the encounter when it is saved.

World Map: Created new encounter set for Robots, increase encounter rate when Damonta is not saved and decreased the encounter when it is saved.
good.

None of this means Damonta or Darwins village (mentioned a few times in the update notes) will be available in beta, right?

After some consideration I think this list is a shit. Doesn't mention smaller maps, AI changes, mentions only 1 new quest in existing maps, does not mention any changes in how some quest play out (at least if one hold newest ks update to be true), forgot about changes in skills names, mixes locations in reactivity section. Was it made in the last minutes? I mean it looks more like 600-800 entries than 2k.
Can't wait until somebody shares he's experiences with new update.

Are perks still to be added later or were cut?

Im expecting they would not want to spoil any details about specific changes to reactivity.

Not that i think there will be lots of those. But even a few would be better then nothing.
