How about a little screenshot goodness from #wasteland2...The billboard should look familiar to some oldies. pic.twitter.com/nGi0P9sa0K

Well, I had no idea what that billboard was supposed to be, but after googling the question is obvious I think: Did she pay inXile for it?

P.S. Man some of these screenshots make it seem like it would be so cool to explore those areas but these play-testing reports are so depressing...

Ok. So it's around 2.5 months fuill steam ahead.

Hopefully they manage to install the soul to the Arizona section during that time too. :troll:

Seriously though, some additional touches all around the place to liven it up.

I agree. I'm withholding judgement until final release though. Will still buy on release to support future games even if i end up not enjoying this one. I don't think its as bad as some are making it out to be as I see lots of positive things being said as well. I never expected a game on the level of Fallout, not with the budget they had, but if it's even half that good i'll be happy.

That screenshot felt appropriately underwhelming, so it must be a real ingame screenshot, if that had looked cool in any way... 90% chance it would be a bullshot.

"Hate" would imply an arbitrary value system wherein level-headed judgments were replaced by emotional ones, usually attributed to something personal. This is not that. I've simply come away feeling unfulfilled and disappointed and if my post-beta review posts do not frame a picture of somebody who has stated his reasons clearly and unemotionally then I'd imagine you're bringing your own baggage into the conversation. It's not like I walked into this with some sort of Rogue(ish) agenda. But to say I didn't expect more from inXile and this game or "don't worry it will be alright in 3 months" would be the stance of a naively hopeful and disingenuous apologist. Sorry 'bout that. In the end, the resounding chorus will be that Wasteland 2 does its job somewhat®. Just like Fallout 3 was Good for what it is®.

I'm not saying I like Fallout 3, just reiterating what's already been said. As much as you might personally have opinions on things, you can't change history, and the fact remains "Good for what it is" is the registered trademark of Codexian responses toward Bethesda games.

That. If W2 comes anywhere close to FO3, god help us.

Not possible anymore. Thankfully. The eventual good, bad or good-for-what-it-is is (at least the way I see it) relative to what the game tries to achieve. Good-for-what-it-is Wasteland 2, while obviously disappointing given all the potential and the big talks about it, would be nowhere near the bottom of the barrel the same way Fallout 3 is there; though I can't imagine a single reason that would make Fallout 3 good for what it is, even if disregarding the title and all that it implies, it's an uninspired and flat big mac RPG.

No excuse to the for the percieved flaws, they should be polished away, but I don't believe even the worst case scenario would drop WL2 that low.

I'm going to go all Joined: Jun 3, 2010 and point out to you that this was debated very much in the fall of 2008. I read those threads, reasons were given whether you agree with them or not.

Ok. I don't think those reasons, should I ever want to revisit the trash of 2008, would change my mind or my point of view about it, but ok.
