Then, does Wasteland 2 worth 150$ or not?
No game is worth that much money

I might pay that much for a modern FPS which lasts 40 hours, is optimized, has top-of-the-line visuals, has a varied and interesting mission design in a cohesive, consistent world, has a multitude of enemies with diverse abilities, good-feeling weapons which all have strengths and weaknesses, is fully playable in co-op with save-anytime capability, is made for PC only, has non-mandatory vehicle sections which don't break the game either way, and lets you kick in doors. Also it should have a random level generator which is comprehensively made, integrated into the game and isn't some throwaway gimmick.

For example, the other day I posted on a BR forum about my book project. I got 10 positive responses like "cool, I'll definitely buy it!", and one "shit list, doesn't include Castle of the Winds". I can't do anything with the 10 positive ones beside stroke my ego, but I can take the negative one, research that game and see if it's something I should use to make my book better.

And I'll say more: I have no idea of how much attention the 10 guys praising gave to my post or if they read everything, but I'm absolutely sure that the negative one read my entire excel list, because he didn't find Castle of the Winds there.
:bro:Yep, death by shallow praise is way worse than the pain of truth. If the developers/publishers had their asses kicked a little instead of endless blowjobs, we wouldn't need to deal with kickstarter bullshit on the first place.

Your dream game is a steaming pile of shit, speaking of which, Daedalos you ask why people keep buzzing around things they've labelled as shit? The answer is pretty obvious.

Though I don't share their negative opinion of the game,(like most people) most of the critique can't really be disagreed on. Making fun of their emotion and vitriol sure, but the critique is usually solid.

Anyway, unrelated to this bullshit: I really hope Inxile fleshes out their companions outside of the ones that have been a staple, I recently recruited Six Pack shortcuts at the level'upe mine.

I didn't visit this location the first few builds it was in, but from what I gather he's been in the game for a fairly long time. This follower seems to have no reactivity whatsoever, I haven't seen a single comment on anything yet, probably because of the beta, but I hope in the final release all followers are on equal ground when it comes to unique barks and reaction text.

Also I bumped my stats up to all 10s for the sake of testing something and damn, I didn't know you could get ap that high, 15 across the board. Is that a hidden thing or something? I never noticed my AP going over 10 in character creation. Anyway, game still runs terrible, my hardware is rather good, not the newest and best but definitely more than I thought I would need to run this game. It uses the most CPU out of any game I've played in a month. And I don't even run it at max setting anymore because my fps in Damonta was nightmarish. I'm playing on lowest quality settings right now for the sake of caution, and I still get stuttering.

Apparently your computer is shit and you need to get a new/better one, because this game doesnt have performance issues. At least thats what i got around here from the resident WL2 aficionados when i complained about similar performance issues.

Onholyservicebound My melee character ended up with something in the ballpark of 10-12 AP I think? As I said in a previous comment, I didn't really pay any attention to the specifics, but I had his Strength, Speed, and Awareness(?) pumped up and ended up with a ridiculous amount of health and APs and would usually one-shot enemies. It's arguably better than snipers, I think (especially once you put grip tape or w/e on a weapon for -1 AP cost).

It's actually been the last patch mostly, and Damonta in particular.
I've got an i7-3770l 3.5 GHZ with 12 GB RAM. Not "high tier" for nowadays, but I still think the frames and stuttering a bit too much for a game that most people consider to be pretty low res.

As for the AP, yeah, I know it's because I cheated, I just thought the cap was 10 no matter how high your stats. That's pretty cool, you'll probably be able to reach numbers higher if they implement implants and more of those little attribute increasing trinkets.

It's not really that cool. Characters with 4x the AP of other characters is actually lame.

I considered my 50 dollars less for the game, and more for the message sent to the rest of the industry that games like this are demanded. It's one thing to sit on a forum and whine that we need more games like this, it's another to put that money where your mouth is. Because the bean counters tend to pay more attention to money than to well articulated forum posts on obscure sites.

There's also that the design and presentation could've been a bit more reminiscent of Wasteland instead of Fallout.

Indeed. But instead everything is just kind of...there. Nothing really looking or feeling reminiscent of anything. Wasteland 2 is the aesthetic and thematic equivalent of P.K. Dick's 'scramble suit'. After you're done playing it you're sort of sure you played it but you can't really remember anything particularly memorable about it.

Funny that you say that, he actually looks identical to the owner of a Chinese buffet near where I live.
Fargo confirmed as Chinaman.
