Bummer, would have liked to play it. I just have zero tolerance for that kind of gameplay in RPGs (moving the camera around). For the same reason I can't enjoy Age of Decadence etc.

When the entire party is selected, camera is fixed on and moves with them.

Torment is using a fixed perspective, right?
Yes.

I'm implying that Fargo lied.
Perhaps it's not implemented because: Beta?
No, it just isn't the case anymore. You do need to move the camera to explore locations and the camera lock option is out. Designs change during development. Go figure.

That's pretty weak. Initial criticism: "don't worry", release: "HEY, THINGS CHANGE MAN"

i.e.: initial criticism was spot on, no fucking way around it, chum

I understand what "low-budget" means but character textures are literally shovelware grade. They look like they are from a low-budget game of 2005, not a low-budget game of 2013 where production of higher quality assets have become far quicker and easier. Is Brian trying to constrain everything in a quarter of the budget?
I'm not sure you understand how art production costs work.

So far I see page after page of whining about character models, UI and other assorted technical shit. All very interesting but can anyone comment about gameplay, writing, quests, reactivity and actual game content?

Writing so far is okay and keywords work well in my opinion. Too early to see quests and reactivity.

Perhaps I didn't understand the problem. Were you complaining about the obstruction of player's LOS due to 3D environment and having to move the camera to overcome that?

WTF is this? An Anorexia simulator? Not touching this POS until they bring female character models up to industry standard.

Well, I am sure I do but thank you for voicing your impression anyway.
The low-res, low-poly character models in Wasteland 2 look ugly... because you never see them up-close except during character creation (and in the inventory, but that might change), and therefore it's a waste of resources to go make high-quality versions you will see for all of 5 seconds, even though the low-quality ones would actually be used in-game (because even modern games use extreme LOD scaling on any characters even just 10-20 feet away to maintain performance). In other words I highly doubt budget is to blame.

inXile have about 3 million dollars to spend on the game, plus some extra from outside funding if I recall correctly (could be wrong). Would you rather they spend that money on high-res stubble tech featuring TressFX, or on building a better RPG?

Yes, because food is plentiful in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

People whinning about graphic should be stoned. I watched it on stream. It looks really decent, improvments over last video are big and noticable. Areas also are designed with taste. It looks far better than expected, 100 % satisfaction. Allocating any more resources in graphic department would be a waste.

Brother None, Markland-> Could You please tell us about implementing more reactivity ,quest solutions etc? Are they already written and just need implementation or You just going to make them on players demands, using feedback? I know that both is true, but I am curious to what extend reactivity is written without implementation yet.

So for those who are playing the demo, how disappointing is it on a scale of 7 - 10?

In AoD it's actually kind of bearable because gameplay's usually about teleporting from one set-piece battle/conversation to another, go figure. It only becomes a nightmare when you make the mistake of trying to explore anything.

less talking about retarded upside down country, more talking about how well the quests are constructed and how varied and diverse are the solutions and their consequences.

Heaps of simple binary choices or is there anything more to it all?
