I don't think this will compete even come close to competing with Skyrim in terms of RPG mechanics.

If Skyrim/Oblivion is the goal to shoot for for an RPG, I think I'll take an decent action game. Though I really hope they can bring some character advancement in to it. I don't want three trees that play the same again and those dialogue skills were completely retarded, they shouldn't have bothered. Hopefully they make alchemy important and fun to use this time as well.

I didn't play it, but it looks like (and I have heard) that it plays like oblivion. In which case, I disagree.

True, combat in TWitcher 2 did kinda suck.
But, thankfully, it had QTE to pick up the slack.

If you play a sneaky archer it basically plays like Thief for 20 levels, then you're a God.

And besides what else is a decent action game but one that looks and plays fine and has a lot of action in it? Has the Codex arrived at the point where "decent" is amazing praise when applied to a modern game?

What response could I write? That "basically plays like Thief" does not mean it's identical or anywhere near as good? That "decent action game" does not equal high praise? That I enjoy exploration action games on some level and Skyrim is a pretty good one if that's all you want from it?

First mod i install for skyrim before even opening the game is deadly combat it's really shit without it and with couple more mods (darker dungeons,less carry weight,dangerous traps,sneaking mods and perk mods)It makes dungeon traversing really thrilling again.
Unmodded bethesda games are just an unbalanced god simulators that is only playeble by teenage wankers to live out their power fantasies.
