Thee entire idea that Geralt could consider choosing between Yennifer (his only true love) and Triss (a pretty girl that he banged a few times in books) sounds quite stupid.
There was a scene in the books where Yennifer kicked Triss' ass, and Triss said something like "ok, sorry, it was a mistake", and she never tried to date Geralt after.

Books end with literally Yennefer and Triss shouting match over Geralt. Ciri then screams that he is getting killed and they ride to the town fast where there are race riots. by the end of books Triss wasn't subservient to Yennefer which was a thing earlier.

Based on what?
Their decision to make Ciri an actual witcher, for one.

The kind of crew they are building up (1, 2), for another.

Or maybe on their own admision that they'll start pursuing "People Who Do Not Play Our Games".

If you still can't see the potential problem, then I guess you're being

Ciri's model? Except for that akward shot, it looks decent the the rest of the trailer.
She does not. The problem isn't in "akward shot". The problem is the model.

No, that's a punk. 80% of what you listed can be attributed to that and in Cyberpunk that's a standard. Welcome to the future!

In term of being mutated? We have literally no idea what is the narrative cause for that.

The kind of crew they are building up (1, 2), for another.

Writer is Marcin Blacha, who has been there forever. Narrative director is Philip Weber, who started as a modder for The Witcher 2 and worked as quest designer for both Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. Game director is Sebastian Kalemba, who worked as cinematic director for both Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk.

Or maybe on their own admision that they'll start pursuing "People Who Do Not Play Our Games".

Yeah, same thing they did for The Witcher 3. They also dropped the number 3 from the latest trailer and referred to it as The Witcher: Wild Hunt

She does not. The problem isn't in "akward shot". The problem is the model.

The model isn't much different from the head mesh in The Witcher 3. Open REDkit, place the character in a w2scene and play around with cameras, you will see it.

Also, she is ugly out of the blue. [...] Here is comparison for Ciri:

Oh, come on, you guys, this is exaggerating. And that comparison making the rounds is with the least flattering in-motion capture out there. Granted, the trailer doesn't give a lot of passport photo moments, but here's the exact same scene a second apart, straight from the official trailer's thumbnail:

hq720.jpg

She looks a tad different and rounder in the face, the mid jaw seems a bit plump and pronounced and the forehead slightly small from that angle, but that's still the likeness of an attractive woman. Clearly, they're trying to make her a bit more mature and the pursuit of tech "realism" is going to introduce some differences too, but I don't see the "ugly." In fact, something about her facial composure ever-so-slightly reminds me of Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler:

So? I am skeptical they have a good explanation. Just as I am not buying their bullshit that they always intended Ciri to be the main character of the series. I mean, thse covers should make it obvious who the real main character of the series was:

That still doesn't change my statement about their newest hires. You can call me a pessimist.

Yeah, same thing they did for The Witcher 3.
Let's say it sounds way more ominous nowadays than it would a decade ago.

They also dropped the number 3 from the latest trailer and referred to it as The Witcher: Wild Hunt
"What dropping the number 3" has to do with anything?

I gave a comparison already and it is easy to find other shots online. No matter how you look at it, it is obvious the model is different. Otherwise we wouldn't be having this conversation.

:what:

Bro, it is literally the same face as the one in the thumbnail and it is in no way "the likeness of an attractive woman". Not because of the scar or whatever, but because her face is oddly puffed up.

They were talking about the "post witcher 3". Also this isn't a good argument, Geralt was chosen as protagonist relatively late in Witcher 1's development cycle. The game was supposed have a character creation in the first iteration, and then it was changed to Berengar (it's the reason you have Triss as a standoff for Yen and Alvin as a clone of Ciri)

"What dropping the number 3 has" to do with anything?

It informs the attitude of the studio. Why do you think there weren't many choices to be imported from Witcher 2 and 1, compared to the first version of the game from 2012?

Geralt may have been chosen relatively late as the protagonist, but since then he was the face of the series. By contrast, Ciri isn't even present in The Witcher 1 and 2. They simply had to pick a character and the only one they had was Ciri. It is as simple as that.

Because it would be too much work for them to implement all the possible choices and they were already crunching?

It's the same model.
We shall see how she will look in the game when it releases. And how the game will be shaping up overall.

Not ugly, just aged. This is a typical look of 35-40 (depending on genetics and lifestyle) woman

Milfchasers will appreciate

It's a bad angle close-up that does make her look kinda puffy, though still much better than the mid-vowel snap everyone keeps copy-pasting. For better shots, I think Bulo's and moon knight's images quite cover it. But hey, de gustibus, you happen to come across a chick like that, feel free to send her my way.

I just recently found out they basically phased out male guy in Cyberpunk, to the point he doesn't exist anymore in promo stuff etc.

The future is female and all that i guess.

However more mature we get, our noses don't become shorter, to many people's regret. It's the opposite actually. Noses and chins tend to grow forward most of our life as we age. Even five years wouldn't make a huge difference, true, but that's the principle.

The cheekbones are more pronounced while the face overall looks fuller.

One of the most notable differences between the male and female face is how much more pronounced the male brow area and forehead is, compared to the female. That area looks positively changed.

Overall, I wouldn't say she is ugly, but maybe that this is the "aesthetically grimdark" version of Ciri from the previous game. "Grimdark" as in "less idealised" features.

I blame Geralto de riviera and Yennefer for poorly educating her and turning up this way.
