Of course it will have stealth. Even Dishonored could be ghosted the whole game. The question is whether that stealth will be good and functionally interesting.

Also since it will just as surely have decent combat now, the question is how well you can force yourself to reload when caught instead of just whacking your way out.

.and the series has gone to shit and utter WTF since AC 2
Yaaarr! Yer don't liek yer parrot and pirate's creed?

But anyhow, it will take talent to fuck up something as simple in concept as Thief 1 and 2. Just make shadows and shit, make noise important, make AI a little more intelligent or at least better scripted, and that's fucking it.

I am surprised though, SHAWCKED even, that they didn't make offer a female Thief for females and mangyna fans. I guess this game won't be felicia day approved..

No kill limit is lifted for beastmen so i did not have any problems swordfighting them from time to time.

When a guard once saw me in lord Bafford's manor i shot a rope arrow to the ceiling climbed it and waited until he would leave.
He didn't. It was like a Tom&Jerry cartoon.

Well, there's also this thing called level design.

They probably will make an Awesome Button for stealth. The original Thief didn't even had stealth, you just had to hide without spamming water arrows.

What is up with all these people not wanting undead in a Thief game? Down in the Bonehoard, Haunted Cathedral... Great missions whose atmosphere was dependent on the undead. I also like how undead are harder to handle than ordinary guards, forcing you to actually sneak.

But nobody played Deus Ex by skulking around the levels whacking people in the back of the head with their baton, either.

That's funny, that's exactly what I did.

Actually, fencing was not that hard in T1 (even on Expert) as long as you fought a single enemy - but it made a lot of noise and obviously only noobs ever kill people anyway. It was hard to learn but once you got the hang of it, if you managed the timing you could kill your opponent without losing a single health shield.

Yes, the baton was awesome although the stun prod was more reliable on higher difficulty levels.

Exactly.

The stupidity inherent in this statement is a prime example of the kind of 'tards zombiez and undeadz attract in otherwise good games. I mean, an undead is a living corpse. It is DEAD, animated by magick. So how the FUCK would sneaking prevent it from locating you? It obviously cannot see like a human being because LOL it's fuckin' DEAD. It's brain is dead, which means it's photoreceptors cannot process light and images and thus it cannot see. It obviously detects it's prey via magick. So, hiding in shadows wouldn't really help because, again, MAGICKS

I remember that undead section of Cragsleft simply petrifying me when I was a kid who thought this game would be about robbing mansions Lord Bafford style and that's where my first playthrough of The Dark Project ended  . Also Shalebridge Cradle.

I recently started playing Thief Gold for the first time and at first was scared of undead too until I realized that you can just run past them. Maybe it changes in later missions but for now they just make me cringe.

Hammerites and Apebeasts in T1 are also very hard to tackle, but if you dance around them correctly you can still kill them easily, but make one mistake and you're dead meat. I have seen a playthrough of Thief Gold where the player plays the Swordmaster style, where they just kill everyone with their sword. It's absolutely hilarious.

"RECIEVE THY POUNDING"
Props to the guy for managing such a feat but i don't think i would be able to do that. It's just not my playstyle. When i see a guard i instinctively reach for my blackjack.
