After the first 5 secs of the video when I saw that message popping up above the head of the guard stating "Suspicious" I decided not only to stop immediately, but to boycott Eidos Montreal from now on entirely.

Perhaps the graceful Square Enix will add a Keeper Mode, where these super useful elements can be disabled.

Oh my god. This is horrible. I want to die.

These Square Eidos sequels just keep getting worse. From what I gather, Deus Ex: HR wasn't very good, but it wasn't as colossally bad as many predicted; Hitman Absolution was terrible in every way, and now this, this thing that calls itself Thief.

Great, I finally take a butcher's at this after a year and it's shit as predicted. Fuck you cunts.

Fuck the hators, but apart from ridiculously overpowered rat plague making violent approach laughably easy in Dishonored, and the ubiquitous small levels because of consoletardis, Arcane actually did a pretty good Thief 3 sequel(note that I say Thief 3 as it's pretty much a continuation of that in style than the first two games. Oh and T3 still is a great game even if different to Dark Engine entries). All the factions are direct ripoffs of Thief factions, the notes, the decadent upperclasses, all are nods to previous games. One could almost see it as Thief game set a few hundred years later. If there's a truer Thief game it will come from Arcane and not Square Enix. Maybe if they concentrate on next gen consoles, we'll at least get larger levels in the next game.

Regardless, we'll only get a true Thief game if LGS staffers get together and make something on KS, even if it's in 'spirit' due to the IP being elsewhere.

I played the first level of hitman absolution. It looked cool in the beggining, and the game made me do some things and I thoght: "hmmm, it's just a tutorial level..." but then I reach the objective with a disguise and BANG! Cutscene following from that with the suit and red tie, which 47 wasn't wearing... uninstalled immediately. I know, I know... I shoudn't have installed it in the 1st place.

When I walked in the complete darkness I usually kept my hand like that to avoid bumping into things.
But devs cut off the darkness, so keeping hands like that is USELESS.

Damn right I'm butthurt. They took one of my favorite franchises, cut off the head and shat down the throat. All while claiming they're big fans of the franchise.

Troll award of 2013 goes to Eidos Montreal. Class A trolls.

Think we can all agree that the thief brand is dead now right?

A) the game is a commercial failure, brand loses cachet for new generation gamers, IP never picked up again.
B) game breaks even, thus irritating square-enix with their millions investment for nothing, IP never picked up again.
C) thief in name only is a success, gameplay 'experiments' vindicated, horrible parody of thief zombies down the years.

Hey guys is there a way to turn on first person mode in Assassin's Creed? Kinda want to look how it goes.

I'm almost 100% certain the most vocally "positive" TTLG'rs are paid shills, at this point. Join date means nothing, they already banned a particularly blatant one not long ago who joined the site in fucking 2002.

I expected decline, but I did not expect something THIS retarded. :retarded:

This pretty much sums up my feelings. We all expected this game to blow, but what I didn't expect was for the game to literally be unrecognizable as a Thief game. The only thing that it is remotely similar is the fact that you have a blackjack.

This was that mission where you have to save the peace loving muslims on Constantinopla from Christian machete rape gangs. I returned to third person because jumping on a haystack cart on high speed was even more silly in first person. I tried to find a mod to change the bow to be more Thief like but it was in vain. I can't wait to Square Enix to show Ubisoft how an assassin game should be made.

When you mentioned the word "mod" i just had a dream in which modders fix everything wrong with Thief 4.
And i mean everything, from bow to interface to Garrett's voice, eeeeeveeeryyythiiiing.
