I say phase-based, just for diversity's sake. It's time to reintroduce that system back into CRPGs.

What kind of a system would that be in an isometric game? Any examples?

Ever played Frozen Synapse?

Yes, a lot actually. Very different from an rpg with it's small number of variables and purely ranged combat. Don't really see a similar system being adapted to a game like Torment. Though it would be interesting at least.

I wonder when the funding will reach a flat. It been keeps growing for now.

Seeing this, I predict a 2 million stabilization. But I believe they won't get the extra funding at the end.

Will stabilize after weekend I reckon, and of course there will be a push at the end, have you learned nothing, newfag/alt ?

Also, I finally had time to actually watch the video. Am I the only one that has the feeling of just having supported the NOD ? :codexisfor:

My initial was 1, 800 000 at the end. Now I bet it will be 3 Million. 2 million stabilization, then 1 slow million during the course of the month (with a small peak at the end).

This will get enough media attention to match Project Eternity's 4 million. Kickstarter fatigue is a myth, if you're the kind of person to back a game on Kickstarter, you're going to back again when something interesting comes along. It is a shame Dreamfall Chapters couldn't get to 2 million though, I guess it didn't get enough attention.

, I guess it didn't get enough attention.

Or:

1. Adventure games are not as profitable (isn't this the only one that got over 1 milion besides DFA?)
2. People didn't care much for adventure in Oblivion GRAFIX
3. Both of the above.

Eh? It's probably a combination of Fargo's profile and the fact that Torment resonates with a much larger crowd than Dreamfall.

Dreamfall is using fucking shitty 3D abomination engine console crap. That's why.

They should have done a proper 2D point and click. It would probably be at 3 mil now (and I would have backed it).

Just wait till this one slows down a bit and there'll be people saying it won't reach 2 million because of Kickstarter fatigue.

I've returned (far more drunk), and it has blown past $1m as I hoped.

Yes, everything is going according to plan.
