Do you actually believe that or are you just trying to trigger everyone? If you actually believe it, care to give examples and explanations?
This is something that can be generalized to all the media in general. Something like framing in "woke" style can exist and annoy you, but there's a lot of other elements to the game that can still carry it, for instance currently playing Signalis and there's a lot of stuff that obviously is sort of feminist study fiction kind of stuff
most of the workforce in the space colony you're exploring in the game is manned by androids(in fact PC is an android), most of which are female, except for ADLR("Adler" - Eagle) which serves as a co-leader of the colony together with FKLR("Falke" - Falcon) - a female co-leader. Adler is an administrative type, technically a subordinate of Falke, due to some psychological traits of Adlers(their brains are cloned from the original donor or something) they also develop extreme attachment to "their" Falke. It's not super in your face but it's obviously meant to be a matriarchal society. Not to mention several lesbian pairs in the game but then again women have no sexuality so it's just reality in a society with a lot of women and very few men
however a lot of the other elements of the game are good - the presentation is beautiful, the atmosphere works, the main gameplay consisting of exploration, puzzle solving etc is also very good so yeah that's a good example of how a woke game can be good.

Now obviously a lot of impulses "woke" types have are conductive to worsening their works, but that's because of lack of subtlety and fixation on messaging, so it's more like skill issue than woke issue, so it's more of the case of a religious fanatic being kind of dry to non-fanatics than said religion making his works worse.

I'm a Zillenial thank you very much. Unlike Zoomers I remember Bionicle and Yu-Gi-Oh. Oh and Neverwinter Nights.

Also Baldur's Gate 3 was dreadful. Even ignoring the blatant degeneracy it falls apart after the first act where Larian's laziness, bad design, awful writing and lack of direction become very apparent. And anyone who likes it has exposed themselves as shallow fools who don't play RPGs.

Anime is full of horndogs, tbh. Sure they might not be attractive to you but weebs are probably fucking all the time, I remember weeb girls having a fame of being easy when I was a youngster. Which was something I certainly appreciated back then. Gaming, i dunno, the scene I frequent is mostly chill people. Everyone I know who plays D&D is a girl, and everyone I know who plays Warhammer is gay.

I'm reading some of these and thinking "Eh. That's not so triggering." Mostly they're patently false accusations that I can say "Nobody actually believes that and it's obviously not true, so whatever."

I think the things that really trigger me are statements that can't be proven false, like a "we should..." or "we need to..." (also "we need to stop..." or "you don't need to...") that are really stupid, that people actually believe and propose. I hate those statements because when someone says it, there's no way to argue against it. Because it's a non-falsifiable statement you can't just show evidence that says "according to the results of this experiment, we should not..." These are statements that if someone believes it, he is so stupid that argument is pointless. Someone who makes that kind of statement has such a foreign understanding of reality that it's like we're not even speaking the same language, like the words we are using have different meanings. Let me give you some examples:

We need to tax unrealized gains on capital property.
We need to take all the billionaires' money.
We need to pay reparations for slavery.
You don't need an AR-15.
We need to take away everyone's guns.
Our hiring and promotion process needs to reflect the diversity of our country.
We need to use more inclusive language.
College admissions should be more equitable.

We should do away with lists entirely, no one reads them.

The concept of the RPG "genre" is vestigial and only exists due to historical cultural associations and order of events of the past. This is why no one can agree on the criteria for inclusion.

If history was erased and Underrail, VTMB and Grimoire all came out this year there would be no reason to associate them. They are just games with rules, and all games have rules.

It is wise of you to have chosen this thread to post this kind of nonsense.
