My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
Nobody noticed the shitty final companion name? It reminds me of:
e2e.jpg

Isn't the furry beast written by Megan Stark? Then again the naming follows the cliched edgy thematic we've already seen from Verse's backstory.
From what we've seen about the companions so far makes me think that they'll end up being as forgetable as the PoE ones unless everyone ends up being something interesting beyond a beneath a layer of boring like Atton from KotOR II.

Brian confirms in that video that we won't meet Kyros in the game, and that the end boss antagonists will differ based on the player's choices.

In a game that's all about choices? I don't know, you might. Though that sort of pacifism might clash with the game's themes.

Brian's exact words (at around 8:40): "Depending on how you choose whether to remain loyal to Kyros or rebel against the Overlord, then you'll meet very different enemies who you fight over the course of the game."

It's a party-based combat game, of course there's going to be a final opponent.

In some RPGs you can talk your way out of fighting the final opponent. Deus Ex doesn't even have one since it eschews such gamey conventions (an opponent is there, but you don't fight him, and the closest it comes to a fight is when you assassinate him while he's completely helpless).

They wanted to create equality and that was more important to them than being historically correct.

Tyranny doesn't take place on Earth.
I am a few days late but I feel the need to comment on this.

It does not matter it does not happen on Earth. If women in this world are lesser warrior than man nothing would be different. Where violence is what decides rulers, better warriors are those that rule. Since Tyranny is about conquering, men are going to be in charge of everything if they are physically superior.

So the question is if women are of lesser physical stature or not. If they are they should not be ruling anywhere except on some random isolated island where no men will bother to come to easily conquer them.

But, supposedly the game happens in a Bronze Age setting; but with magic. So it isn't completely historical and it isn't completely fantasy. If anything, it will be more fantasy than not, because the Bronze Age tag is just there to be an indication of the technological/cultural level.

So, a woman could have less fighting prowess than a man, but not if she's an accomplished sorceress. Likewise, Kyros seems like an archmage overlord type to me, not a Conan the Barbarian type.

Much like non-ancient D&D and other RPGs, any such differences are not reflected in stats.

Birds have always had power in society though ant they? I mean they raise kids, arguably form society, nag their husbands, an can easily manipulate even most cynical an misogynisic on us, I know a beautiful woman only has to look at me a certain way an me big brain packs in leaving work to two little uns in me keks. Thats why you get famous queens an empresses throughout history, women who didn't ride out to conquer but had legions o blokes who'd happily do that for em. Course wi goddess/whore thing if they fall from grace then it usually goes hard for em.

Does not need to reflect in stats as long as it is reflected in lore. Except for Drow there is no dominant female led civilization in D&D most popular world and Drow are well explained with only female Drow being given power by their Goddess and male wizards being well controlled.
Does Tyranny lore have any known well thought out explanations?

Look at my upper reply to Roguey.
Also one Sorceress means shit if men can also be as powerful. But they will both use armies and those with men in their armies will decide how the society works. And male armies will not suffer females being in charge (beyond specific powerful females).
So unless they give a good lore explanation, their female led society are all a bust.

Welp, psdo isn't as cool as I thought she was. Note: she can win back cool points by replying to this post with "Joke's on you, I was never cool."

It all started innocently enough when I read

Doesn't take too much deductive reasoning to figure out who protected sogross-do is.

And that lead to "EW THEY USED A PHRASE I DON'T LIKE" https://twitter.com/camharr/status/760541076687958016

And more Codex commentary

That last one, but not sarcastically. :)

Oh, and found the post http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/inde...bsidians-next-rpg.104738/page-78#post-4691222 Congrats Kem0sabe!
