You know what would really work for Infusion? Ironman mode. Every RPG should have an Ironman mode.
If it doesn't have ironman, nothing stops you from doing it on your own by starting over if you die.

Sweeper wants to get dominated by his games for reals, not just roleplay a bottom

Always amused by “joost dont relod hurdur” dimwits. A game aside from being an abstraction is also a set of rules which makes it interesting in the first place.

Problem with iron man is that it’s often implemented in the way that it’s easily cheesable by force quitting. Saving after each turn would mitigate this to some extent.

Nope. Killing things should not make your character automatically stronger. For example: killing 1000 rats doesn't mean you are ready to fight a bear. Not in a thousand years.
Swinging a sword thousands of times would build strength.

Syndicate.
The same syndicate as syndicate wars by Peter molyneux and bullfrog? I've played that game, though never the first. Surprised I didn't recognize it. Thank you!

Syndicate Wars is the sequel, the first one was just called Syndicate

Ya I'll have to check it out. I have syndicate wars on my gog library and played through a few missions.
Anyways, I'm excited for infusion. At first I was skeptical about the change to 3D from the original sprites, but I think the potential for height on the maps will open up a lot of new interesting tactical scenarios as far as height advantage for aiming and stealth penalties. It also allows for making the individual maps more interesting to traverse. I'm also intrigued at the prospect of combining the oddity system with a more traditional xp progression system as each system has its strengths and weaknesses. Going by Stygs previous work I am sure whatever issues prevent themselves will be patched until it feels right. I mean we're still getting patches for the original from 2015!

It is definitely a day one purchase from me, and among my circle of friends I've turned quite a few of my buddies onto Underrail who otherwise would have never heard of it. Good luck on your development Styg, many are eagerly anticipating this sequel!

In spite of it's shitty 3d graphics instead of the superior 2d sprites, I hope Infusion comes out soon. It's going to be GOTY 2025.

It has very little in common with anything usually called a "crpg," though. KCD2 is an open-world first-person storyfag game with 6 (or is it supposed to be even more?) hours of cutscenes. Not likely to scratch anybody's underrail/temple of elemental evil/baldur's gate/etc. itch

If it's anything like the first game, or, hopefully an improvement, it'll be a very strong contender for GOTY, even if Infusion releases within the same year.
KCD isn't a storyfag game it is, first and foremost, a medievalfag game, and there really isn't anything that even comes close to it on the market. I like mechanics heavy, buildfag autism RPGs as much as any man, but not every RPG has to be like that, nor does it have to be isometric. We're on the RPG Codex, not CRPG Codex. And frankly, having something of KCD's quality come out in the year of our Lord 2k18 is a fucking miracle. I have high hopes for the sequel.

Can you please medieval faggotry simulator enthusiasts fuck off to your dedicated asylum?
I'll go so far as to say that anyone who doesn't enjoy KCD is a kike because kikes hate hearing Jesus Christ being praised.
Are you a kike Hydro?

I am a proud slav. My ancestry though shall never become the basis to put myself above other nations as I equally respect hard working people of every nation.

Your understanding of the Christ’s teaching is meagre, based solely on the flashy paraphernalia developed by the corrupt, power-mongering, heretical church.

Well, you sound like a kike in any case.

but not every RPG has to be like that, nor does it have to be isometric. We're on the RPG Codex, not CRPG Codex.
Are you seriously one of those people who imply cRPG = isometric RPGs instead of computer RPGs? I thought this is a mere zoomer thing.
