Congrats Styg!

Of course, I already bought on Gamergate so this doesn't affect me personally. :obviously:

Silent Storm release actually is :decline: since unlike on GOG the publisher on steam is Nordic Games instead of Nival.

Back on topic... congrats Styg. I felt like the price I've paid on Desura was way to low, so steam early access will be a nice excuse to throw some more money your way.

I've been wondering about that actually- are the Silent Storm guys still around? Or does the money just go to some chucklefuck who holds the IP?

awesommme. all the best, Styg. also, NEO Scavenger, not a huge surprise quality-wise but I didn't even know he was pitching it, and Wasted Lands, not a huge thrill quality-wise but I'm still glad they'll be reachin a wider audience.

According to the guys updating the Greenlight page, the GOG version isn't as good as what they're going to put up on Steam. I think they might be the original developers.

Is that so? Did they specify how the Steam version will be better? I'd appreciate a link.

I don't think it would be possible due to legal rights and such.

Silent Storm was developed by Nival (a Russian company) and brought to North America by JoWood. When JoWood went out of business, Nordic Holdings bought their assets, including, I assume, the rights to Silent Storm. The games was submitted to Steam by Nordic Games.

Hmm, I think I might be confusing it with another game. Can't remember which...

Thanks for the clear-up, VD. I'd hate to give money twice to people who didn't even develop the game.
