How many people realize that for the last 2 weeks Underrail was the most discussed rpg on the Codex?
Really? I'd thought it was Fallout 4, precisely because it's the codex.

Yeah, but the problem is how to figure it out. Seems like the game doesn't give you any directions if you failed to save B. :M

Player's failure having a consequence? Encouraging players to explore the game world on their own? No quest compass? WTF is this shit?! :outrage:

Hyperboles and questioning the player's ability? You've made yourself at home here, I see. :M

Anyway, consequences are not the problem, neither is the lack of a quest compass or having to explore.
But that part is simply not resolved very well, imo. At no point is it made clear that saving Buzzer is such an important thing for the MQ (you don't hear anything about him before visiting RC for the first time, where he's not exactly getting a meaningful introduction either).
To be clear: I don't care about "consequences", quite the contrary, but please provide some clear enough directions for a (first time) player to follow through the main quest, at least unless he's doing something obviously stupid. After all, most of the directions you are giving in other quests (or the notebook) are perfectly sufficient to follow without relying on hand-holding. Just try to keep that standard in the plot critical paths.

I'm doing my best to fit in. :M

(Please don't take everything I say seriously.)
I'm not supposed to tell you guys this sort of info, but tweaking the issue you mentioned is already on the todo list.

Does the effect on the kevlar balaclava apply to all armour thresholds?

Yes. There is no body part damage in the game. When in doubt, press C and check combat stats. BTW, I simply LOVE the combat stats screen. More games should have a sheet dedicated to showing me how good my character is at killing things. :incline:

So it seems effects of Expertise feat is not shown anywhere in combat stats. True?

Oh shit, he was talking about the vs firearms bonus. Yeah, what Ziem said. Tho it would be lulzy if it applies to the entire DT. Metal armor + balaclava builds FTW!

Hi guise plz rate my rifle

Just because I had a very high quality frame. I'd prefer a reaper with a regular or high resolution scope but I can't find a good reaper frame.
Possibly a spearhead too, with the same attachments as the one in the screenshot. That would reduce the AP cost to 24. Hmmm

28 AP is completely worthless.

Why? I can "combo" it with some psi and I mostly use the sniper with Aimed Shot not for regular shots.

For all you sneaking assassins, don't take "Cut-Throat", it's a crappy feat. Sure it sounds like the most awesome feat for that build, but it's quite difficult to apply it and even when you have all the requirements down, it still misses quite often. It's only useful to try to kill someone before combat has started, but even then a lot of opponents are with their backs to the wall. Once combat has started it's useless.
It's not worth the hassle. The time I've spent trying to perform cut-throat, I could have easily beaten x10 opponents.

Also Blitz is only worth for unarmed builds imo. Don't get it for a knife build, measly 20ap are basically one more hit with the knife, fuck that shit.

Yeah it's nice for an unarmed build though. Basically an extra adrenaline shot - 5 more attacks with a decent taste for blood stack.

Ambush is similarly highly situational and thus, incredibly skippable. Also, "only works on humans" becomes a front-and-center downside once you take the elevator down to the Creature Feature.

What's the deal with psi regen, by the way? I have 12 Will and 7 Intelligence, and it's only +14. That's pitiful. Although psi is very strong and has carried me handsomely through the game, it has all the staying power of a one-pump chump and that's with as many boosters as I can chow down on. Ergo, I long ago specialized into stealth, high maneuverability, and ambush tactics.

I also have the two feats that together raise your psi point maximum to 140, as well as -20% psi cost, and still I can run out in two turns. Booster makes it three, and after four turns I'm running on fumes (read: run 16 squares away and/or Force Field against a wall).

The 2 shots/round feature of the Dragunov is pretty cool, but the damage output starts to become a bit lackluster for me.
I'm considering to craft a high-crit damage alpha-strike Sniper rifle.

Spearhead with rapid reloader would also give 2 shots/turn, no?

I have the Dragunov, but yeah, I don't like the damage and it doesn't really work as an instakill button.

Wouldn't it be better to go for a much beefier one that can fire twice with an adrenaline shot? Those things are like candy, especially if you have a bit of Biology.

I cannot craft and it fits my build perfectly. Snipe -> Premed+Cryostasis -> Aimed Shot takes care of two guys who have around 500 HP. Then I usually run into cover. Snipe nearly one-shotted Balor for me and there is quite a bit of extra damage coming soon, getting the Cloaking Device from JKK soon and hopefully some better stealth stats from boots and armor as well. Headpiece is atm 32% Smart Goggles.

I use those only if I feel I really need to. The 2 turns pass quickly and then you struggle with 35 AP. Can you even fire a gun when it costs more than 35 AP in that situation? Needless to say the Dragunov is still my go to weapon, but I have not been to DC yet.
