I was literally *this* close to backing this game with $150 for the Collector's Edition before they stopped offering physical rewards. Thank goodness I forgot to do it before they shut it down.

Which makes me wonder, is there anyone here who got any physical reward from the KS? If so, did you burn it?

From Steam:

Since update 2 the game (which had never crashed before) was systematically crashing at the eidolon mission making the game literally unplayable. Since more updates were coming didn't think much of it.

Downloaded update 3, started a new game. Game crashed when trying to throw the vase at the " I'm not trying to teach you but to make you think" part.
Loaded a saved game, crashed when respawning from silver sapling.

Don't know what to do anymore.

Update 3 killed my savegames. If I try to load my savegames the game will crash :|

All is good, improvements are improving the game :dealwithit:

Just tried it, save game killed too and still getting this crap to accept a 4k resolution seems like a fight and losing battle.

I think this game is one I will never complete, only reason I try is because I paid for it ... OK at cheap launch price too on steam, but still paid for it ... will give it one last go when update 4 gets released and I fully expect to perhaps install it all afresh again as I had to do for update 2.

Never in my many years of PC gaming have I seen a catastrophe such as this ... was massive fan of original Ultima Underworld 1 and 2, System Shock 1 and 2 as well, but this ... this steaming pile of shit with fleas hovering around it (as in their own site fanboys like Sandro) is one of the biggest gaming franchise follow up disappointments I've ever encountered.

These people seem intent on destroying and ruining the System Shock franchise as well ... this is beyond unforgivable IMHO.

Official answer from Steam:

Unfortunately, I don't expect additional monitor resolutions to be supported. We'd prioritize our dev time into some of the other updates we have planned for the game.

This is fucking disgusting. They dropped VR, after talking about it for years.

https://steamcommunity.com/app/692840/discussions/0/1742229167182119796/

There were VR tests in early UA development that seemed promising, but the project has not addressed VR since. We understand there's been interest in it for awhile, but as of right now, it's not on our timeline for budget and resource reasons.

So yeah. Take money from KS, mentionning VR in your updates. Keep saying VR is coming while your game is releasing ( from december 2018 ):

We are currently focused on the big updates and hotfixes. This means we have to delay the work that needs to be done to support VR.

Then few months later, drop the feature. End of story. Easy peasy money.

I backed because of VR. I will not back any of their projects again

At least they are not are not making so obvious fake reviews as after the last update.

By my count, UA has not received any new review in the last two weeks. It is still standing at 355 reviews (counting for the Steam score). There is not even a number for 30-day reviews.

This is pretty much proof that literally *no one* is buying this game, not even after the 3rd update.

3840 x 2160 that is the resolution of my 4K 43" monitor is in the game option menu, it just wont stick. I believe that Steam comment on resolutions is regarding ultra wide screens? but again its ridiculous they are not supported correctly for a 2018 game by so called Industry Legends.

I remember at the start when I and other lovers of UU1 and 2 heard about this project ... remember personally asking, pleading that it would not be console-ised, they said it would not go to consoles .. another lie from them to the backers.

I did and I will play the game once I receive it. If it is shit at that time I will record burning it, along with my physical collectors edition of Tides of Numenara.

Nice forum migration. All old posts have the same timestamp, the time of migration.

No. "Mar '15" means "March of 2015" with that shit forum software. You only get an exact date if the post is recent.
I forgot to mention I browse with Javascript turned off, and there Discourse really shows the time of the migration

What? I haven't played the game yet... I will once I receive the collectors edition and the game is patched up. Don't conflate that with waiting for physical media.
No, the Prosper was meant for the fact that the Collector's Edition apparently still hasn't been released after 5 months.
