I think the term is pseudo-isometric. It uses the same general angle as the isometric projection, but in a 3D engine.But it is isometric, isn't it?!I just wish the game were isometric.
Using a 3D engine has the advantage that you can apply textures to objects and you don't have to create and animate sprites for the characters.
