We want a VtM:B sequel!
I think Paradox get unfairly accused of going DLC crazy on everything they publish. In reality, it's mainly their flagship grand strategy titles that do that. All of their games have some DLC, but not shitloads of it. Tyranny doesn't have tons of DLC, nor BattleTech.
Tsk, newfag. They even said we are xpected to see gameplay in 2020... what are we supposed to discuss here for a year, wtf.
Fuck,i lived long enough to see codexers defending dumbing down of old RPG systems.Abilities and disciplines: In!
Attributes: Out!
A streamlining because something that wasn't intuitive even to people I've seen on the Codex, is that that feats box on the right has the only thing that matters. You're just putting points directly into feats (and also spells) instead of putting points into two different things that all contribute to the same number.
He says Skills, Disciplines, etc. Nothing has been said about Attributes at all. There's no reason to think that either is in or out.His statement makes sense to me.

That does make sense, but I think what's throwing people off is that the author of the preview immediately followed that up with "instead, you are capable of handling any weapon you come across" - implying that that the lack of distributing attribute points to "abilities" is what's responsible. Maybe it's out of context.

There is, however, reason to think that at least Brawl, Melee, and Firearms have been cut.
And no matter how we cut it, we're still looking at pure decline.

I'm going to make the educated guess that increasing your ranged/melee/unarmed combat feats just increases damage, no die rolls involved.

Brian Mitsoda said there’s a firearms skill, so that’s wrong.
Which makes skill investment meaningless. You can handle any weapon without having to invest in a skill just to acquire basic competence.

Yes, I think what likely happened here is that the previewer was given two different facts about the game's systems:
1) Skills and disciplines are in, but not attributes.
2) You can handle any weapon without having to invest in a skill just to acquire basic competence.
And he made a false logical connection between the two (1 therefore 2).
I wonder what "better interface" is code for, because the old interface was perfectly alright.Yes, there is a character sheet but with a better interface than BL1.
Why a previewer when the game won't come out for a year? It is a betatester at this point.previewer
someone has to betatest the game, some people are paid to do so by ign and others pay epic to do it for usWhy a previewer when the game won't come out for a year? It is a betatester at this point.previewer
Roguey is trolling. Don't take the bait.Fuck,i lived long enough to see codexers defending dumbing down of old RPG systems.
Paradox have also had in-house testing of Bloodlines in Stockholm, fyi. So yeah, beta-testing/focus grouping is ongoing.someone has to betatest the game, some people are paid to do so by ign and others pay epic to do it for usWhy a previewer when the game won't come out for a year? Call it what you want, it's in a playable state at least.Paradox have also had in-house testing of Bloodlines in Stockholm, fyi. So yeah, beta-testing/focus grouping is ongoing.
Hardly beta testing this early in the game. Early systems and gameplay testing maybe.
