Avoid the question then, you coward. Your facetiousness says all that needs to be said.
Ah, yes. The demand of the leftard: You must answer my question or I will punish you.

It never occurs to the arrogant twat that his demand means nothing as it is a complete non-sequitur to the topic at hand. It is only a device for him to try to attack the other person personally instead of addressing the topic. And the other side can easily see through his deceit. Not playing along with the twat is not only fun, but a wise move.

Also, I’ve never heard anyone else call this game poorly written, because it’s amazingly well written.
It is absolute shite.

From the first seconds in the theatre, it was crap. Half the freaking game is overwraught, overly melodramatic and full of selfish complete idiots. That damned ex-actor what-his-name is a prime example.

I wonder if this poster is here to push an agenda.

I see your dumbfuck title is well earned.

you sure
And no, while I do have the game,

Oh, I see. So you haven't played the game.

That explains all the virulent shitposting.

Carry on.
That explains a lot. Thank you.

Yesterday I was colouring pictures in my Marvel colour-in book, with crayon, and I noticed that red looks funny sometimes. Is it just me?

Hahaha! The arrogance of the little boy. He demands people answer his obviously leading and wide open question and when the person refuses because anyone can see the transparent and pathetic attempt at a gotcha, he throws a tanty and cries like a little kid denied his candy. You are so amusing.

Didn't say you were retarded, boy-o. Learn English.

I did say you are arrogant, deceitful, a twat and don't know the meaning of the word "romance".

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
You're just putting points directly into feats (and also spells) instead of putting points into two different things that all contribute to the same number.

Yes, basically Feats are the only thing you need and the old system has you balancing some weird combinations of stats to get what you want. Also to people that haven't played Bloodlines any difference between skills and attributes would not be clear!

That does make sense, but I think what's throwing people off is that the author of the preview immediately followed that up with "instead, you are capable of handling any weapon you come across" - implying that that the lack of distributing attribute points to "abilities" is what's responsible. Maybe it's out of context.

Maybe it just means that with a shotgun you will do some damage even with no firearms skills if you point it in the right direction. Compared e.g. to SS2 where you were not even able to pull the trigger of weapons you didn't have the stats to use...

Dude, you’ve played it. I know you can’t really tell us anything, but have you seen the character sheet?

What about when you get to bang jeanette?
_sfm__vtmb__jeanette_by_kungfubellydancer_d74m2lx-350t.jpg
Jeanette was less about romance and more about fun and pleasure, which, of course, vampires are not supposed to do because they are above it all, apparently.
For you, perhaps.
You don't romance her type. Or rather, you generally don't get the chance to before the boots knocking happens. VtMB definitely didn't go down the romance path. A bit of flirting and bang. Same thing with Morrigan in DAO.

But that's the only "romance" worth one's time.

Bloodlines was a legendary flop, released unfinished on the same day as Half-Life 2 and left to die. I thought that was common knowledge. Not sure about Redemption though.

Redemption likely didnt do well, both Bloodlines and Redemption were published by Activision that I guess had the license back then. the Hunter games are a bit more curious first one was by Interplay as the other two were by Vivaldi but there is no connection to Activion as the merger deal was in 2007 and they all predate that, also the Hunter games were from the same developer, High Voltage Software despite the switch from Interplay to Vivaldi.

And I think people are either being fake gamers, underage or having their rose tinted glasses on ... Bloodlines was a flop, it gained notoriety among gamers but that post-fact like PS:T that was also a flop but today we have a lot of people that go about how great they are thats interesting considering they didnt do well, Troika's death was not entirely due to Bloodlines as the studio closed before going into the red but that was also because they had no projects after Bloodlines, if that game was a commercial success then chances are Troika would get another project to continue but what happened, happened.

Also Masquerade itself was discontinued in 2004 with Requiem that was when all of the WoD got combined into a unified system that was the New World of Darkness later changed the name into Chronicles of Darkness ... sure there is a 5th edition of Masquerade that come out last year but I think thats telling how Chronicles of Darkness worked out, CCP or no CCP.

I think another issue comes down to this, World of Darkness is something that started in 1991 and simply lacks the legs of D&D (1974) and it started at a time were tabletop started to face competition from computer games so as people have some knowledge of D&D its not likely they will have of other systems, people also circlejerk too much since just because they know of World of Darkness and their circle knows of it, they assume everyone does ... Bloodlines and PS:T are kinda in this section because they are known to people that played RPGs back in the day but gaming was niche back then, today because "geek is cool" and so is gaming by extension of course everyone knows but you can tell the fakes because knowing Bloodline doesnt mean knowing Redemption, those fakes only parrot words and if you being up Redemption they end up being lost since they have no idea what the game is like and its not Bloodlines thats for sure.

Lol! Maybe, maybe

But if I had treated the lady I was with that way yesterday, I'd end up quite lonely pretty quick :D

This is pretty true. A lot of the so-called "nostalgia goggles" exhibited by the crowd today is actually for the final, player modded product, not the original.

PS:T was a flop at the time. Only one guy in my entire extended RPG groups even heard about it, and his description of how you can loop conversations to get infinite XP had us all looking at out DM, and the next couple of hours was a series of jokes where the players tried to get him to loop a conversation and give us XP :D

Of the three games created by Troika, Arcanum was probably the best made, and even it had its crazy bugs on release. Keeping a couple of NPCs forever instead of letting them go after their escort mission (the dwarf and the woman from the prison isle), for example, and at least two permanent companions didn't count towards the NPC limit (Dante and that dwarf wizard being the most memorable). There were a ton of other bugs, some game breaking, but Arcanum could never compare with:

Temple of Elemental Evil, which was basically unplayable on release and took years of player debugging and mods to get it stable enough to complete.

Bloodlines had the worst of both worlds, being both a flop and relatively unknown (again, only the diehard Vampire players in my groups even knew about it), and full of nasty bugs.

To say they were classics on release is correct only insofar as they were classic examples of how not to release games in an unfinished state.

The attribute and skill system is usually the last thing to be nailed down. It's possible they just haven't decided yet.
That would imply that they are lying, telling different people different facts.
As I said earlier, your mistake is assuming the game journalist was able to both gather and communicate the facts correctly. Occam's razor, folks. I am completely baffled why people are putting the thing a journalist said after watching a video on the same level of importance/accuracy as the official game PR.

By the way, this notion that Bloodlines was unknown on release is false. There was hype and marketing around it because it was the first game released for the Source engine by a 3rd party developer.

It was a relative unknown at the time around my area. As an avid PnP player, I keep an eye on all cRPG that comes out of the systems I was playing in, which includes DnD and VtM. I knew all about DnD games from Gold Box to NWN2, even the abberation that is Dragonshard. I even heard quite a bit about Redemption. But Bloodlines? Only from that one Vampire group, and it was mainly because of the LARPers in it.

Yes, but it was pretty much targeted at the FPS crowd which was a joke of course when releasing it the same day as long awaited HL2...
