Yeah Wesp you could probably pitch for at least a play at the IP for an indie title you ever think about it?

No, because I am a complete layman doing this is my spare time and it is one thing to fix or restore content that is already there only broken or hidden, and another to create something new from scratch.
Only a foretold, true developer would be so humble. So, you see, you are the one, after all!

Hope those WIP locations are just old files from the past. Cause if that´s their current state.. Oh boy even Dragon Age Veilguard looks more ready than this.

I like the Women In Prison genre and I'm glad that Chinese Room has come to its senses and will give us some joy for a change.

"In-game purchases"

This seems like it means the ability to buy/pre-order the additional Clan DLCs in-game only but are they tone-deaf enough to offer microtransactions a la Assassin's Creed or any of the Ubisoft live-service single-player games?

The whole idea is tonedeaf, no matter the execution. Remember the "merchant" at your party camp in DA:O?

Furthermore, no one will want their DLCs anyway.

And all the non white people and strong women occupy most of the power positions in Boston? I don't really believe that. It looks very much like "the message" to me ;)!
Yes.

The Democratic Party is the party of women and black people. The sun is setting on white guys. The same applies to vampire society in Boston; the new Prince is a woman who overthrew the old corrupt white male Prince.
So they stopped caring about accuracy when they got to the corruption aspect?

I am watching a playthrough of Vampire: The Masquerade - Justice right now and I can imagine that Bloodlines 2 goes into the same direction. The main character has a small stealth crossbow but ignores all weapons the enemies drop and wins 90% of all encounters just by feeding on them or punching them to death. Maybe this is exactly what TCR has in mind as well?
So only I have problem how to get to doctors when they are up early in day, and I'm up in the night.

These people nowadays. They can't write proper realistic game.

Wesp5, you should be making your own VtMB2 with blackjack and hookers.
He can't he'd need team and 1.5 years. And if he doesn't have artistic talent, he can't even write story.
I'm sure he can make his own Bloodlines 2 when he gets his hands of dev leftover levels that didnt meet the quality cut, unused soundtrack, and homosexual player histories, under the very reasonable dev time of 20 years.
The longer you are making game, the bigger shit it becomes. Games needs to be made quickly when people still have artistic vision and they are not worn out by debugging and rewriting too much.

Speaking of modders and Bloodlines 2, I hope that years after the TCR version has been released the HSL version leaks. Like with "Duke Nukem Forever". Then maybe some modders could try to finish it, if that is even possible...

VTMB will be rebuilt in Skyrim before that happens
hell, HSL's VTMB2 will be rebuilt in Skyrim before that happens

You mean because of the Redemption remake in Skyrim? Yes, the videos look impressive but let's wait until the whole game is out. Black Mesa took over 20 years and it is just the remake of a linear shooter in a similar engine...

I can see why the people who write the game would think this, but in terms of the lore of the setting it makes zero sense. If anything vampiric society would be extremely retrograde as everyone in positions of power was embraced centuries ago. So it would be way more racist, bigoted, etc, than modern society. Not that any vampire actually gives a shit about that stuff, but still, the logic doesn't work at all.

Conveniently, as of V5, most old white male powerful vampires are fucking off to die in the Middle East, leaving power vacuums in their cities for beautiful diverse tolerant neonates to fill.

Could you imagine if vampires were hyper-conservative batshit insane monsters that eat people? Instead of incredibly diverse, brave, oppressed minorities?

Oh look more concept art and in-editor screenshots. When is this game due to drop?

In 2-5 months? Wowzers! Maybe they can release more animated gifs of concept art!

Funny thing is that is basically is what the first editions were. The "Path of Paradox" of Indian vampires (original Ravnos) literally has one of its most verboten acts as... embracing a woman, lmao.

Because, hey, it turns out that thousand year old people have very different belief systems from latte-sipping teenagers. I suppose my greater point is I find it very sad how the setting used to embrace exoticism, where the ideas of Kindred were not only supposed to be monstrous in relation to modern day people, but outright strange, if someone who has been feeding on human beings as cattle for hundreds of years thinks exactly the same way we do, what's the fucking point?

Some of that was inverting the perception; Ravnos of the East didn't think embracing women was wrong because women suck, but because they are literally the essence of generative force as carriers of new life and defiling them by introducing them into the Curse is horrific.

In the round of Sumo layoffs, a few members from The Chinese Room's Bloodlines 2 team has been laid off:

- Arone Le Bray (Principal Narrative Designer)
- Issy Hine (Concept Artist)
- Freddie Pitcher (Senior Lighting Designer)
- Adam Meredith (Senior Programmer)
- Li Brady (QA)

There are probably more.

How does it work? You fire people from senior positions and ? Who's gonna do their work now?

Maybe now that "Still wakes the Deep" has been released, senior people from this game have been moved to "Bloodlines 2". So more Walking Simulator people might now be on the RPG team...

Why is it surprising this happened to them? The whole industry hired and invested too much in peak Covid and now the culling has been going on all year. They just had one game come out and now the reshuffling is happening.
