This could mean that the game is good. Doubt it,but who knows. Most likely it will be some melodramatic moralistic bullshit.wow if even gaming journalists are disappointed
I'm sure all the results of your decisions are scripted, because of course they are. They aren't going to build a procedural simulation. It's possible that their "non-linearity" is just 2 different endings like High/Low Chaos from Dishonored.
They promised that in Remember Me you will be able to manipulate people's memories.
But it turned out that there are only like 3 times in the whole game where you can do that, all of it is scripted, and they already spoiled 2 of them during the marketing campaign.
People are this desperate for a vampire game to the point of trusting french hipsters. This will totally end well...seriously how has anyone here actually been duped into thinking this would be anything other than a dumb action game
Even stranger when you remember that this game is being developed by the Life Is Strange guys. It's strange how they don't have the courage to make a game where fights are few and far between even when the premise absolutely demands it.
Vtmb did have some shitty combat level design. The snuff tape house was fun,the haunting mansion and the lunatic's mansion are good levels, also the Italian mobster vampire gathering was interesting until you get in the basement. As a whole it was 50/50 split, half of them were long and boring slog, still have horrors about the tedious sewers.Tragic how they're still not able to make a vampire game that's not about combat. Sounds like this is making the same mistakes that VtM:B did.
In VtM:B everything that was about intrigue, backstabbing, betrayal, was awesome, and everything that was about wading through an army of mooks was a let-down. It's strange how they don't have the courage to make a game where fights are few and far between even when the premise absolutely demands it.
Out of curiosity, what does it look like when a game makes it "fulfilling to be evil"?Vampyr is going to be one of those games where it isn't fulfilling to be evil
