Everything in this game is a paragraph when a sentence would do.

Of course. So it is in many others like Pillars
Yeah, but it says a lot that despite considering Pillars one of the most dogshit RPGs ever made, I would still rather read a 5 pages long lore dump about Sawyer's super original Pillars creatures like Fampyrs and Guls, than listen to one more cringe BG3 dialogue about faggot vampires, faggots bears or faggot gnomes.

I bet I could have shot her in one of her quests or something (and of course the game is bugged and one of her personal quests is in my log for ???? reasons). Indira didn't escape, thankfully.
You can execute her at the end of her recruitment quest for dealing in xeno artifacts.

When in doubt, [Dogmatic].

Man i wish we could use that pirate cruiser as flagship, in comparison our voidship looks just pathetic really, like some skeletal space shoe with rocket engines attached.

The reason Rogue Traders mainly use small ships is because the necessary logistics to run the really big stuff are too much even for them. Yet a bunch of pirates somehow managed it.

That's why your small ship can blow up these pirate niggas with one triple torpedo salvo :positive:

Yeah, but most Rogue Traders are also relatively small-time operators, usually owning just one or few ships - makes sense to run frigates or even just raiders in that case. There are plenty of examples in the Black Library novels of these small-time Rogue Traders, who often work as a glorified taxi for powerful Inquisitiors. The von Valancius dynasty is huge by Rogue Trader standards, owning several planets including a forge world. It sure would make a lot of sense to have a cruiser at least (which would allow more gameplay options such as having hangars for strike craft). I guess this might come later with DLCs.

I understand the need of fixing the game and selling crap, but the game begs to give at least a Light Cruiser. It would make sense to start weak considering the amount of damage you get, but it being kitted off and offing Cruisers/Heavy Cruisers would not feel incredibly out of place. Again, it's a problem of the schizo narrative.... your ship is this uber-important piece of equipment with your Owlcat-approved Bullshit Chosen Shenanigan (Hi, Nomos) so you can't swap it for something better.

Narrative at odds with gameplay. Even your weapon setup is similar to a Cruiser and not an Escort.

Heh, picked wrong choice, she escaped with the good old smoke bomb. I fear I will never get the chance of shooting her now.

Also, despite the fact that she's incredibly useful, on Chapter 3 and I need to shoot the Eldar too. Also I laughed for a good minute when before the *great betrayal* of chapter 3 I got the "Inner World" (the meditation thingie) event and it bugged out and Pasqal followed me in what is supposedly a vision, so I guess the Omnissiah is strong enough to not give a shit about Xeno meditation tecniques and simply power through. Good old Techpriest.

Don't do red jumps. If you do only yellow jumps you can get there without any figts and loading screens.

i forget when i lost something and had to think...
have to punch through 1 beastmaster down to get cover position and somehow give lard enough parry to survive cause on first attempt he got raped

The worst thing about this game are the companions. The majority of them don't have any character development which is a huge step-down compared to WotR. it's sad cause the building blocks are there, but it's very obvious that they had to can their plans for some reason during the development (my hunch is GW meddling).
At least the characters are not insufferable cunts like in Starfield. Here, I hesitate sometimes, wanting to take more companions than is possible. I don't know if Games Workshop intervened, so there's no woke romances further in, or it's simply and more plausible again that they had no money left. The game is still much more ambitious in scope than most RPGs, and they underestimated the workload. By the way, I see Games Workshop gave its employees a Christmas bonus while WOTC laid them off.

Isn't the idea that your frigate is more like some kind of super destroyer? i.e. a relatively small platform with ancient tech that carries weaponry way above its pay grade? It kind of makes sense thematically in isolation, but I don't know how allowable that would be in terms of lore and canon.

Even if it were so, it would still be incredibly fragile and would need to rely on nimbleness - but that's not really reflected in the gameplay (except maybe in terms of the little jaunts you can do forward and strafing, and the 90 degree turn upgrades? - but even with that, a lot of time you're just trading shin-kicks, which I should imagine in terms of the lore shouldn't really be possible with some of the bigger ships you face).

I think I'm getting the hands of this game's ship combat.

Basically do the Battleship Yamato/Star Trek thing, move full speed behind enemy, then turn and blast them with everything.

The enemy is weak in the rear. Just got my first cruiser, btw, it can't even maneuver around me.

And I'm still on Chapter 2, but like near the Coronation already, I must spend like 100 hours on Act 2 alone.

The writing in this game is so good compared to larian

same tier of writing

I defended this game's writing in the past but "so good" is far from what I would describe it as.

If Larian's writing is shit, then Owlcat writing is slightly better shit, but it takes longer to poop out.

Everything in this game is a paragraph when a sentence would do.
Oh no not a paragraph. The ultimate enemy of humankind!

Why the fuck you even want to pick up Jae? Do you enjoy your sassy Arab companion that's too good for you, so charming and funny?
She gives you cool weapons. You also get to do her quest for some extra content and XP. I agree that personality/voice-wise she's boring though. Right now I am keeping both Idira and Jae around just in case I need to plug holes in my roster (I had Heinrix desert me at one point so I am vary of something like this happening again), but once I get the Space Marine Idira will be given to the Inquisition (I predict the same will happen to the xenos). Until then I will keep her around for her Chaos Heavy Bolter. Jae is not that annoying, so I might keep her around as a backup.

Come the fuck on. I didn't pick up Jae the first time and now she's gone. Or perhaps her quest never actually started, I don't know. For fuck's sake Owlcat, how hard is it to make sure you at least can pick up all the companions.

I do regret not recruiting her: I bet I could have shot her in one of her quests or something (and of course the game is bugged and one of her personal quests is in my log for ???? reasons). Indira didn't escape, thankfully.

Versus the sassy Aeldari companion that is too good for you? (Stupid Mon-keigh!) Or the stuck up prissy bitch that is too good for you? (Cassia). They are all kind of trash in their own way so what makes her anymore trash than the others? Voice actress is Persian (not Arab, but close enough) and I think she really just speaks that way. Not over-acted just English as a 2nd language. I'm not a huge fan of swarthy mystery meat sloots but they are usually loyal after a few beatings and being wrapped in a hijab so there is that at least. Good luck taming that wild Aeldari bitch.

Uh, so, Act 3 of this game is basically a Planescape: Torment reference right?
We just need a ghost of our past lover, I guess that will be Cassia, except she's alive.

Cassia literally wants you to court her, you unclassy pleb.

Funny you decide to go out with the Indian scammer instead LOL.
This is what I told her when she reminds me of her "papers".

The eldar weapons seem to be miles better comparing to the human ones.

I guess it's balanced out since you need to take two extra feature to use them.

Still nothing compared to good ol' heavy stubber and 'eavy bolter.
Also, there's a bug that the heavy toxic cannon doesn't benefit from Heavy Weapon profiency (so you need the whole 55-60 str to use it).

This game needs at least 2-3 months of bug fixing before it's decent enough to play. Every new update introduced new bugs and shit because they are pressured to solve shit quickly. They should take a few days off ,enjoy the new year and come back reacharged instead of working to squash bugs during new years eve and Chrismas like the've been doing. It's not productive at all.
I understand that targeting the winter holidays for release is good business idea but if you release a buggy game then you are fucked since you'll alienate of lot of people who will feel that they wasted their holidays trying to play an unfinished game.

The game has great potential and could also use some more voice acting at least for critical characters and moments. It has a AAA price(50$) with quite a lot of dialogue and people don't really have the patience to read walls of text. This generation of gamers is not like us from the mid 90's-early 2000's who were used to read books and shit. Sven is not an idiot and invested in voice actors to expand into that westoid market. That's where the money is. Bg3 sold 22 million vs 12 mil Starfield. People here make fun of Sven for his cringe marketing and shit but he knows the audience.
