Turn based rpg funded by people who actually loved them doesn't sound so bad. I don't see how people turn away at the $15 low price tag they attached to, it's too cheap. So, so cheap for a full game. (If it's released.)

I wonder if it's Iron Tower doing this, how much money would they get?
So much money they could buy Thursday.

Going up by 500-1k per minute, nice stuff.

Debating whether I want a boxed edition or not. Because the boxed one sounds awesome.
Think about it this way, it is only $50. A night or two worth of booze/ a few days worth of food/ a couple of hours work(depending of course where(if) you work. And by this project doing well it could start off a new trend which could, I hope, bring about a wonderous incline to the crpg world which I do not see happening otherwise.
Yeah, good point there. Think I'll probably be going for the box.

VD could consider having a Kickstarter project as a way for us to pre-order while at the same time increasing publicity for the game and raising funds should they be running dry. Not sure if Kickstarter actually accepts almost complete projects though.

Then again what would he put for the estimated date of delivery? You need to put a date and not a day, unfortunately.

I will donate! I just pledged $250 for a signed collectors edition but I can probably spare $50 more. Ugh, my bank account is going to hate me.

Tough choice for me.

Either this little goddess @ 3000 yen.

or chipping in cash to hit $5000 for a virtual statue in

Cute figurine ^_^

Also, Michael Stackpole is part of the team and worked on the first game? O.o I've read the first two book from his "Age of Discovery" series and they were really good.

Give to the Codex shrine and touch yourself instead!

Fixed. :P

After all, RK-kun, you'll be able to buy that or some other figurine later, but having an in-game Codexian place is a now-or-never kind of thing.

Codex shrine? I must have missed that. Please enlighten me good insect.

It's all explained here: http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/inde...d-2-location-statue-fund-raising-drive.70256/

Basically, if we collect $5000 and donate it to Wasteland 2 Kickstarter, Brian Fargo has promised to put an RPGCodex shrine into the game -- i.e., even more than just a statue:

If your group puts 5k together I will find a way to make sure there is a shrine for a codex shrine or something else if you have a clever idea. I'm am quite flexible and I know at the end of the day I really want groups like yourselves to be happy with this game.

I'll see what I can do. I won't promise more than $50. I mean, I'd still get the game, right? Right? Right???

Only if you get into the top 30 (for now). Should be easy if you donate 50, can't see two dozen Codexers suddenly jumping out with 75s, no matter how much Bee might wish for it.

That...that made me shed a glorious tear of broship.

Actually, most of the folks in the top 30 probably donated privately to the Kickstarter as well, so they'd pass on their digital copy to a fellow bro

Nice idea, but who'd get all the extra goodies - the signed & framed original concept art, the exploded sausage and those OMFG KEWL medals?
