Huh, I found the Codex shrine/vault and got inside via the... unlock code, but I can't find a way down to the second level. There's a door icon on the map but nothing there in-game.

"For this game to be really fun, followers should be reduced to maximum 2 with no possibility to use them for skill checks, rangers should be allowed to learn maximum 3 skills each (including weapon choice)."

This is such retartetacy.

After Dragonfall I gave Wasteland 2 a shot, but quit within 5 minutes. Terrible camera that can't even be set to 3/4th isometric, can't even zoom out enough, really ugly graphics (and inexcusably bad performance considering that the game looked worse than the original NWN, and takes up 20 gb of space on top of that), awful controls, boring character creation..... Damn what an absolute shitfest. Total disappointment and not even worth playing compared to Dragonfall.

They could have come up with something half decent had they just made the game 2D.

Well just comparing the two games. If I post this in the Wasteland 2 area it will attract unnecessary attention from the fans of that game.

My bad, didn't quite grasp what the "After this" was pointing to, there. :salute:

How can you judge a RPG after 5 mins? Thats like looking at the cover of a book and reading 2 pages and deciding its crap.

I like how every single complaint in this post is about aesthetics. Even the camera complaints are about 'can't set it to my favorite 3/4th isometric angle'.

I had never meant my post to be any sort of serious critique of Wasteland 2, and in fact do not intend to get into any sort of debate regarding the game. My experience with it is so limited that all I can say is that I found character creation to be extremely dull, and the keyword dialogue system to be an uninvolving spamfest. I had originally posted in the Dragonfall Director's Cut thread (overzealous mods moved it here), because in comparison to that, Wasteland 2 seems to me like a complete fail. Engine, systems, interface, camera, aesthetics, etc is basically the vessel through which you experience the game's content. If these things suck, it doesn't matter how good the content is. It's particularly bad in the case of Wasteland 2 because that game would have been the perfect fit for a fixed perspective isometric 3/4 camera.

Although I've played 3D games before, at this point, I have no patience for that crap anymore. I have better things to do than rotate cameras, or struggle to see what my characters are doing behind whatever obstacle has blocked my perspective. I value ease and efficiency in gameplay. I want to spend my time doing fun things, not tedious/irritating camera management activities that are not in anyway connected to the gameplay.

More like trolling mods.

I actually can't think off the top of my head of an RPG that lets you zoom out farther than WL2 does (without camera hacks of course). It's a great feature.

You make it sound as if you spend most of the game rotating the camera. That's not really the case.

Most of the game is actually spent watching skill bars fill up. :troll:

Patch 2 came right on time on my finish of Arizona. Ive got over 70 hours in so far, though a good amount has been messing about with inventories and skill checks. Still, the game grabbed me and kept me playing this long which has been immensely satisfying. There needs to be a hardcore mode to get the proper experience, or well I should gather the discipline to try avoid savescumming on a second playthrough.

Im not sure if this has been fixed as I wanted to avoid full patch-note spoilers but in my game
I killed Danworth right after agreeing to cure his dogs in the dialogue option and Jobe did not recognize me finishing the quest

Because everybody has to make a living. You should know this better than everyone.
I guess in your opinion this campaign did not deserve to appear on the front news page.
But if Avellone takes a shit in the woods, everybody can read and even smell it.

Roshan proves his idiocy again. Whining about WL2 character system. HAHAHAHA!

Knuckle-dragging swamp cunt a.k.a. Volourn strikes again!
What would we have done without his insightful comments, I don't even fathom...
